If you want to be in the heart of town and walk anywhere this is it. It is on the first block, steps to the sand and steps to any restaurant or bar. Right next door to the Catalina Island Conservancy so easy if you want a tour or event. Two nice decks, you can have a drink and enjoy the views or people watch. All newly redone, nice everything. Sound throughout along with flatscreen bluray and mp3 dock. It technically is a one bedroom but it is 1100 sq ft with two euroloungers that fold out and all bedding/towels included. This is a fun place to go and you will love it, we do.
NEW POLICY, NO REFUND DUE TO CANCELLATION. Sorry, it was getting to be a pain in the neck. VRBO does offer travel insurance.

Always loved the Island, the best memories are here.
Did a total remodel very recent. Everything is in great shape, read the reviews. Everybody loves this place.
Includes 2 Kayaks, 2 SUPs, 4 Bikes, two sets of golf clubs, umbrella, cart to carry stuff to beach or market, 4 beach chairs and kid sand toys.
We had such a great time in Marty's charming, well equipped house. The bed and couches were all very comfortable. It is conveniently located a block from the beach, shops and restaurants. His toy closet full of bikes, kayaks, chairs, floaties etc. was amazing and can't wait to use them next time. Marty was prompt in returning my texts too. Definitely booking for next year!
Love this place. Great location 1/2 block from beach. Loved kicking back on the balcony with a cold drink and a good book. Big comfy bed, slept great every night. Big screen tv with access to Netflix, etc and a library of DVDs available. Plus any possible beach/water tot you could ask for: chairs, floaties, kayaks, paddle boards, boogie boards, sand toys. And bikes!!!
Marty sent us fantastic directions about how to get in, where everything was, and tips for where to go on the island. I texted him with a minor problem about the tv remote control and he called me back immediately and resolved the issue. Cannot recommend more highly!!!
The Yellow House was gorgeous! Marty is the best host. He was great to communicate with before, during and after our stay. And the price for the rental was the best in town.
The house has two balconies, plenty of space and two full bathrooms. A nice open kitchen and an "island on wheels" made it really easy for cooking.
Marty has spent a lot of time upgrading the home. Beautiful tile floors and stairs. Modern decor. Two convertible couches/futons that are comfortable to sleep on, and a memory foam bed, which was fantastic!
The house has a keypad lock or key lock. The keypad is great for when you go out to the beach, kayak, snorkle etc. You don't have to worry about taking along the keys and losing them.
The house is not far from the beach so it's not really necessary to beach camp with the crowds. A short walk down and you're at the water. A short walk back and you're at the house, on the balcony enjoying the sun and scene and cocktails.
The best part was the "Toy Room," with two paddleboards, kayaks, bikes and floaties.
The location is perfect. Avalon is small but many things are just around the corner from the house: golf cart rental, Pancake Cottage, Luau Larry's, and the large courtyard where you can catch the inner island tour buses. There's also a decent Mexican restaurant practically next door, a deli and a coffee place & bar on the corner. Vons is just a street over and Marty has a Vons club card to use to receive the discounted prices on items.
As previously stated, Marty was great to communicate with. Every message was answered.
I've been coming to Catalina since I was a baby. I now have a new place to stay! Thanks again, Marty.
Family of 4 stayed for 5 days. Great location, beautifully updated. The relatively smaller size of the unit is perfectly offset by the smart furnitures and the two spacious balconies with side ocean view.
The toyroom was a very pleasant surprise. Bikes, beach toys, anything you need for a great vacation. Highly recommended. We are planning to return next year.
Glad we chose to go VRBO and this location for our adventure to Catalina Island.
Marty's place is right in town with balconies which is perfect for relaxing and people watching. We mostly ate in with no problems as the grocery stores were nearby and the kitchen more than stocked with the right equipment. We had thought about taking a tour but decided against it as Marty's "toys" became our focus - bikes for riding, kayaks for exploring the harbor, and chairs for hanging out on the beach. We never got to trying the paddle boards!
4 of us - 2 adults and 2 teenagers (17 & 18) had plenty of room with a full bed and two conversion couches. Two full bathrooms too!
Communication with Marty was fantastic throughout - from the beginning inquiry to after we left.
If we ever get back to Catalina Island, this location will be our first choice.
The rental itself is amazing! Loved having the 2nd and 3rd stories as our living quarters. All new appliances, two bathrooms and plenty of room for my husband and I and our two children to enjoy the rental. It was clean and comfortable. We loved having the bikes, paddle boards, and kayaks. The location to the center of town and the grocery stores was perfect. What I didn't realize is that it had no AC and only one fan and it was hot while we were there. But, because the living quarters were on the 2nd and 3rd stories, we could open the patio doors and windows and get a breeze going through. I also didn't realize that this rental is on the very first road that people drive on when they first arrive in Catalina. So, because we had the doors and windows open, it was loud from the vehicles and golf carts. We still made the best of it and had a great time! We swam in the ocean everyday, the kids zip-lined, we rented a golf cart and did the loop around Avalon that took us to the high places that we didn't want to walk to, we had $1 tacos at the Sandtrap, we visited the Wrigley Botanical Gardens and Descanso Beach, snorkeled in Lover's Cove, took a sunset sail, shopped, went to a movie in the historic Casino (Tuesday night is $8 night), watched the sunrise and the sunset. It was a great vacation!
Included with the rental is two single man Kayaks, 4 bikes and two stand up paddleboards. You have to carry them to the beach which is less than a block. You have to be responsible to know how to use them, I am not offering any instruction. There are life vests but no helmets. Nice new stuff, and also includes beach chairs and an umbrella, two sets of golf clubs.

If its a month or less then just one payment. Please use the eCheck option or let me know so I can ad 3% for the credit card choice.
