Why the Owner Chose Calistoga: We are an extended family that have had many wonderful and memorable vacations together throughout California over the past few decades. Over the years, we have all continued to enjoy getting together on occasion and Calistoga became a favorite retreat. We purchased the house after renting in the area many times.
The Unique Benefits of this House
There is a large, private yard with a lap size pool (with spa enclosed) in the middle of a vineyard with mountain views, providing a quiet, relaxing environment to unwind and rejuvenate. The house is also in walking distance to many local restaurants, shops and spas. There are several hiking and cycling opportunities, and the location provides plenty of site seeing opportunities throughout the Napa Valley area.
The description and pictures do not do this wonderful home justice. It is truly magnificent. We spent two weeks there in May 2016 (6 adults and a one-year old), and you couldn’t have asked for anything nicer. The open floor plan and outstanding kitchen allowed us to cook all our meals in style, while watching the baby play with the many toys they had in the house. The beds were very comfortable, everything was very clean, and the kitchen was extremely well stocked. It was a bit cool in May for the pool, but we used it anyway, and the Jacuzzi was fabulous. The owners were a pleasure to deal with and they had many of the baby necessities so we didn’t need to pack them out on the plane. They were most accommodating and met our every need, and then some. They obviously take great pride in this wonderful house and have kept it up in style.
Calistoga is the perfect place to stay in the wine country, as it is an easy drive to everything. The house is right off the Silverado Trail, making access to wineries very simple. You can walk to town from the property, and everything else is pretty much within a 30 minute drive. We went to wineries in Napa, Sonoma, Howell Mountain, Spring Mountain, the Russian River, the Alexander Valley, and everywhere in between without any difficulty. When we come back to the area, we will definitely stay here again. A great time was had by all.
What a wonderful getaway! The location of this property is ideal for anyone wanting to spend time in wine country yet have a quiet home base in the country to relax in. We comfortably slept 10 at the house and enjoyed mornings drinking coffee amidst the vineyard and evenings of cooking in the large kitchen and swimming in the glorious pool. If you're looking for housing for a large group in Napa Valley, you've found the best place!
I've stayed at this home a few times over the last several years and most recently stayed last Fall with a group of ten. This is a very spacious home with ample room for a large family or group of friends and has a nice, open floorplan that allows for cooking and entertaining both indoor and outdoor. It is kept very clean and has nice tile flooring throughout the house. It is lovely to be able to wake up to a pool and vineyard in the back yard! The Jacuzzi is also great. It's walking distance (~1 mile) to Solage and Indian Springs and other attractions on Main Street and has parking for several cars. I highly recommend staying here and hope to do so again in the future!
We rented this property for the month of August, 2014. The two of us had invited family members, two or three at a time to visit. Photos have not been updated in years. Bedding was unpleasant, Children's loft was unusable because of minute a/c unit. Because of drought all of the trees at the pool were dying and there was no shade. This could be a very lovely property if it had a little more care. We enjoyed the vineyard and location was great. Owner was easy to deal with for broken coffee pot, etc. Just does not work for a large group when weather is hot.
A great property, in a great location with everything a family would want for a relaxing stay. In particular we would like to thank the owner whose engagement and assistance before our stay was simply brilliant.

My family (7 adults) stayed here for a week in June. Had a great time. Pool was great, Kitchen well stocked, and the location in Calistoga was excellent. Close to biking and wine tasting and downtown. The neighborhood was quiet and was a great place to relax. Would definitely stay here again
