Owners Donna and Steve make their permanent home in northern NJ, but their hearts belong to lower Delaware!

After searching long and hard for what would be a home, not just a rental property, we first narrowed our search to Delaware, then Sussex county, then Lewes. We asked many Sussex area residents what they thought was a nice town to live, and the answers were, 'Lewes, Lewes, Lewes...'!
Without a doubt, the selling point of this home was first the beautiful lake view from the main living areas of the house. We're trying to make friends with a beautiful Blue Heron that we see frequently from our deck.
The home's location on the main alternate route to Highway 1 turned out to be an added bonus!
We stayed for 4 nights to include seeing in the New Year at the Lakeside property. The house was cosy, comfortable, warm and suited us perfectly for a family of 5. The beds were all very comfortable and there was luxury tv entertainment in all rooms and we loved exploring and playing with all the games available. The record player and selection of vinyls was a big hit and an eduction for our children. It was fantastic to be able to borrow the bikes. We brought 3, borrowed one and the trailer which was perfect for carrying our youngest as she wouldn't have managed the 12 mile bike trail! The property is close to Rehoboth and Lewes and we explored the beaches and Cape Henlopen state park. Steve was very helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Our family (including our dog) had a wonderful experience staying here. The home was very clean and just as described on the website. There were also many extras such as games for the kids and record player with a full library of albums. Steve was very helpful and answered all of our questions. The neighborhood is quiet and great for families. We will definitely be back!
As pictured, this property is very homey and clean and it was stocked with just about everything including Crazy Glue! The owners went out of their way to make sure that everything, even a dog bed if needed, was available and ready to go. We had one minor snafu when the internet went out and a text to the owner solved that problem quickly! Steve was available when needed.
This property is centrally located so that shopping, grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants and fun places are all within driving distance. Steve provided a comprehensive list of local places which was very helpful for us as we had not been to the area before. Try out Old World Breads and Hopkins Farm Creamery - both within driving distance, both with good eats! The beaches are all within driving distance and we had no problem getting to any of them, though we are not sure what that trip would be like in the middle of summer!
The property was as described on the website. It was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the pool, the games in the house, the bicycles and the view of the lake. Steve has been very responsive to questions, and is easy to work with. The neighborhood was friendly and quiet. A great family get away.
Best ever. We loved this house and will come back. The location is convenient, the lake is beautiful, the house has everything we need.
Our stay, April 15 through April 18, 2016, at Casa Mar Azul was everything and more! We stayed for three nights and four days and wished we could have stayed longer. My friend and I needed to work on research papers and truly needed a quiet place to focus. Additionally, with two Doctoral candidates working, there needed to be space. Casa Mar Azul gave us more than enough space, the neighborhood was quiet, so we were able to be highly productive. We also were able to slip out one night, check out the beach and have a nice dinner in town.
Casa Mar Azul was clean, extremely comfortable, and felt like home without all the distractions.
We plan to come back when we need to work on our final papers for the dissertation!
