About the property

Cabin 3: 1 Bedrooms,1 Bathrooms, Sleeps 4

Our log cabin is built with a nice slightly rustic feel but yet not without today’s conveniences. Each room is individually climate controlled just for your comfort. They each have a full bathroom with shower stall and a corner kitchenette with coffee pot, microwave, hot plate and a small fridge (dishes and place settings for 4 included). All rooms have a queen size bed, a fold out love seat and a dinette set to enjoy your meals at or do business while away from your office or home.or you can enjoy a early morning sunrise on the front porch.

"Please see our other listings VRBO #4699321, #4699339 and #4699351".

The cabin is like a small hotel suite. It measures approximately 260 square feet. Visit www.postoakrvpark.com/cabins for a photo of the layout of the cabins. Please be advised that the second bed is a pullout sofa. If you're trying to sleep 4 people with the same comfort, you're probably not going to find it sleeping on the pullout. There are 2 buildings with 2 cabins located in each building. If using the pullout, some room rearrangement will be necessary.

Be advised that the business name is Post Oak RV Park and Cabins, so we have RV Guests as well as cabin guests. We are only 15 minutes from Baylor and we are located in the country, but the time for you to get to your particular location at Baylor will depend. Close to Homestead Heritage for food and shopping.

About James Polich

Jim and Michele Polich are experienced RV'ers and have enjoyed camping since 1999. They recently purchased Post Oak RV Park and Cabins and hope to make it a family adventure, along with their 7 children.

James Polich purchased this cabin in 2012

Why James Polich chose Waco

Quietness. There's not much commotion at Post Oak RV Park and Cabins. You can be sure to get the rest you need. The occasional vehicle traffic is the only noise around. We are looking forward to adding improvements in the near future. We would like to add a BBQ area for all guests to use, a dog walking trail and kennels for the cabins for guests with dogs.

What makes this cabin unique

Unplug from it all! We are not off grid, but if unplugging from technology is on your to do list, then you found the right place. Very close to Homestead Heritage and The Ploughshare Institute for Sustainability. Shopping, fine crafts, dinning and classes offered for people interested in homesteading.

Cozy little cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We travel to Waco frequently and were ready to stay off the beaten path but not a long driving distance from all of the activities and this was Perfect! We felt removed from the city but were actually 12-18 minutes from everything. The park is pretty, intimate and very well maintained. The cabins are appealing both inside and out. Very clean and comfortable! It is clear that the owners take pride in their properties and they make everything about staying there very easy and accessible.

Fabulous little cabin...

  • 5 of 5

The arrival process is very easy and James (property manager) is very responsive. Any questions he is quick to answer. The cabin is very quite. We had a couple next to us (duplex) and there were another set of cabins next to us that you did not hear any noise from. Although they were outside and cooking, playing with the kids, and dogs you did not know it sitting inside. There isn't a TV which we were a little worried about but to be honest, it was a relief to sit and visit with my wife for a change without all the background/white noise of a TV. We would most definitely rent this place again and recommend it to any couple that would like a quite get away from all of the hustle.

Quiet safe comfortable

  • 5 of 5

First time in Texas for me and my daughter. She was here for an acro tumbling camp at Baylor. We felt very comfortable and safe in our cabin. The RV park was quiet and peaceful and I looked forward to returning after a few hours in the city. My daughter slept on the pull out sofa and raved about how well she slept. The cabin was clean and you could tell that they paid attention to details to make your stay nice. Wifi worked well. Check in check out was smooth. The place is right next to Homestead and an easy drive to Magnolia Market and the Baylor campus. There is almost no traffic. Note that everything opens late and closes early (around 6pm) compared to what I'm used to in California and everything is closed on Sundays. A/c worked well. Very private with blinds that blocked out the sun if needed. Really enjoyed this experience! Would definitely choose again over a hotel.

Great meeting spot!

  • 5 of 5

The duplex cabin was perfect for my sister, niece, and I to meet up. One groups comes from Dallas and the other Austin. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch in the evening and again in the morning. The beds were comfortable and all amenities well thought out. We plan on making it a regular ritual, meeting in Waco at the Post Oak cabins.
