Vacasa - Vacation Rentals Made Easy:
Professionally managed and cleaned homes
Local assistance 24/7 for emergencies
Secure INSTANT booking
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
The view from the house was beautiful, and the walk to the beach took less than a minute. The deck at the house provides a great spot to rest in the evenings and watch the water. The inside of the house was very clean, though it smelled like seafood in the kitchen. No internet connection, and the coffee shop down the road has odd hours and requires purchase for the wifi password.
The heater was broken the first night we stayed in the house, and we contacted the owner immediately. She got back to us the next morning. As we were out that day, someone must have come to the house to fix the heater because it worked when we got home. But we never heard again from the owner, so we were lacking in some communication though the problem was fixed.
If you're wanting more connection to the outside world and/or a busier atmosphere, Pacific City might be a better fit. Lincoln City was a good central location to travel up/down the coast, and disconnect from life.
Overall, nice place to stay. Will definitely try to come back next year.
Positives: easy to find and one block to a great beach. Two blocks to good sized grocery store. Good view. Cute decorations. Telescope is available for whale watching.
Negatives: Beds and bedding needed updating. Musty smell on ground floor that you gradually got used to smelling. Somewhat cold on ground floor (sleeping areas), so pack some warmer PJs.
We took a girls trip! Usually we rent very large coast houses because there are a lot of us but this time it was just the girls and we had a blast! The house was great and very cute!
It's a good company to rent from. Friendly service and very helpful.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Isle of Capri. The home was VERY clean and well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. It is a very short walk to the beach, super convenient for running back and forth as needed. The beach isn't the biggest and sandiest beach on the Oregon Coast as the tide was somewhat high even at low tide at the time we were there (early April). However, there is plenty of room for beach walking and wading. There are nearby points and rocky outcroppings to explore also. The house is in more of a neighborhood than a tourist area and was quite quiet during our stay.
The main living area of the home is large and comfortable with a nice view of the ocean, slightly obstructed but we were actually able to see whales, sea lions and sea otters from the house. Spectacular! The downstairs shower was very good with a seat, adjustable and removable shower head, good pressure, and spacious. The towels were fluffy and good size. The kitchen is humble but more than adequate for all basic needs. This is not a modern, fancy home but very clean and serviceable. No WIFI which was fine for us since we enjoyed being unplugged during our stay. We thought the house was just the right value for the price overall.
The home is also very conveniently located a short and easy walk from a Thriftway, so it was quick and easy to grab the groceries we needed. There is a nice little coffee shop next door, as well. It is closer to Depoe Bay than Lincoln City. Depoe Bay is a small strip of tourist-related businesses but fun for an afternoon of shops and views. We enjoyed the saltwater taffy and extra-large ice cream cones. Lincoln City has most of the services a person would need such as drugstores and a variety of restaurants and is about 15 minutes away.
Our biggest complaint which cost this house a five-star review is that the mattresses were terrible. I am not overly picky about such things but the mattresses were not supportive and were uncomfortable for a couple to sleep on. The mattresses just seem worn out and overused. After two nights of poor sleep in the larger bedroom with a queen bed, we moved to the smaller bedroom with a double mattress. This was no better. We could also tell the futon mattress was sagging in the middle and squeaked whenever our daughter moved, although she did not seem to mind. During vacation I hope to get extra sleep, not less sleep, and unfortunately the mattresses prevented that.
Was a great weekend with the in laws and one of there friends. House was so plesant to stay at.
