A modern and luxurious 1 Bedroom Apartment with Elevator, Secure Free Garage Parking and Outdoor Space in a Central Location - Walk to everything or take a bus from Lothian Road (a short walk).

This contemporary apartment has everything you will need for a stay in Edinburgh, luxury linen, comfortable bed, TV, DVD, iPhone dock, fully equipped kitchen and even a decked area for relaxing with a coffee or glass of wine in our beautiful summer weather.

City center car parks charge up to £28/day, but with us parking in a secure garage below the apartment is included in the rental price. This is a significant benefit if planning to keep a car in Edinburgh.

We are about 5 minutes walking distance of EICC and the financial district, so very convenient for business travelers. Easy walking distance to all main city center tourist attractions and main shopping areas.

The area abounds in a wide variety of bars, bistros and restaurants to suit every taste and budget. Just round the corner from the apartment there are many traditional shops (e.g. butcher, delicatessen, wine merchant) and supermarkets. You are also located within easy walking distance of the Kings, Lyceum and Traverse theatres as well as the Usher Hall, Cameo, Odeon and Filmhouse cinemas.

About Andrew Paxton

Margaret and I met while students in Edinburgh over 30 years ago. We have always said we will return here one day after living and working in the South of England, Belgium and most recently in Virginia, USA. We have two other apartments listed on VRBO. We want to let others share our place and fall in love with Scotland and Edinburgh.

This is in the same block as another apartment that we own in Edinburgh. This allows us to offer a solution for larger groups who may need accommodation for 6. This one bedroom apartment offers the same luxury and standard as our other apartment (#298995) and has the bonus of a large deck giving space to relax.

What makes this apartment unique

This apartment comes with its own allocated parking space in a secure garage directly below the apartment block - a huge benefit whilst staying in the city center.

The apartment faces south so is a bright sunny place to spend your vacation, although we can't guarantee the sunshine, but when it is there, it pours through the french windows in both the bedroom and the living area.

We had a great stay in Andrew's lovely city centre apartment. We were met on time by Andrew's assistant Karen, who greeted us with fresh coffee, milk, bread and shortbread! The apartment had everything we needed, and the secure underground parking was a real bonus. We even had a visit from a very friendly feline neighbour who took advantage of us leaving the balcony door open to come in and say hello. Highly recommended for location and quality of stay, and we would definitely use again

This apartment is perfect for a couple that want to be close to the sites of Edinburgh and away from the busy new town area. The apartment is well equipped and modern. The manager, Karen, was fantastic! She made sure we were ready to go from day one with a quick review of the property and some delicious snacks. It is clean and secure with locked building entry and underground parking.If you will have a car while in Edinburgh, the garage is a must have! Everything worked properly including Wifi, TV and laundry. You can walk to the castle and Royal mile from the apartment and there are some nice neighborhood restaurants, grocers, etc with in a block or two. We would definitely rent this place again on our next trip to Edinburgh, but just one thing to keep in mind is that it is really only for two people.I believe there is also a two bedroom apartment in the same building for rent as well, from the same owner.

Owner's Response: Location is so important for a city break. We are pleased that the guest highlighted this, as well as the quality and security of the apartment. We do have a 2 bed apartment in the same block, so can accommodate 2, 4 or 6 guests between the two. We meet all our guests at check in so we can demonstrate how the apartment works and answer any questions. A guest wanting to return is the best endorsement we can have.

Our apartment is within easy walking distance of Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street and the Royal Mile where you will find most of the major attractions. It provides a quiet place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas. This is a good base for day trips to Glasgow, St Andrews, Stirling and the Borders. Visit one of 12 Edinburgh Festivals - Fringe, International, Books, Film, Art, Jazz and Blues to name just a few. Easy access to the local bus system and taxis if you don't want to walk. Just 25 minutes from the airport by car or taxi.
