Nice modern apartment 98sqm totally refurbished in a bohemian building of 1910. It is composed by:

* 2 bedrooms (with king and queen size bed)

* Large sitting and dining room

* Big and fully equipped kitchen

* Sunny covered veranda of 12 square metres

* 1 complete bathroom and 1 smaller toilet

* 1 studio for working

* 1 complete room at disposition that you can use as a wardrobe and leave your luggage in

The apartment has individual gas heating and air conditioned.

It is situated at the last floor(3 floor, sorry no lift, be fit to climb the stairs!) of a small and quiet building with few neighbors, it is very sunny and lightened all day long. Even if there is no lift and you have to climb 3 floors of narrow stairs we think that the effort is highly rewarded. The apartment is quiet, sunny, spatious and full of caracter. It's an old small building with only 5 apartments and with wooden catalan typical ceiling inside that makes it unique according to us !We rent the entire flat, it is not shared. You will find that you have plenty of space to relax and access to all the comforts of a modern home. You are invited to cook, enjoy a sumptuous breakfast on the veranda or relax on the comfortable couch.

It is situated in Poble Sec neighborhood, that stretches from Plaza España to the port, nestled between Avenida Parallel and the enormous park areas on Montjuic, one of the city's most beautiful and interesting hill. The 'Poble Sec' has managed to maintain its charm and authenticity better than other Barcelona's neighborhoods and it is full of bar and lively restaurants. In fact, the Poble Sec is where you can find one of the best traditional tapas bar of Barcelona, Quimet Quimet (Poeta Cabanyes, 25 - very, very close to the apartment). Only at 20 meters you will find Carrer Blai: the main pedestrian street of the neighborhood, along with the charming Plaza Sortidor there are the ideal places where to enjoy a cocktail, a coffee or some delicious food in one of the many open air terraces.

The Poble Sec offers a wide range of cultural activities and features several popular theaters. It lies at the foot of Montjuic Park where you can find some sports facilities (including the Olympic Stadium), a Botanical Garden, the Joan Miró Foundation and the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC). The view of the city you can enjoy from Montjuic is really impressive and you can decide to walk up to the top if you feel fit or take the funicular from the Parallel metro station. The Ramblas, Raval and Gothic Quarter are a short 10 minutes walking distance away and is very easy to get there: just cross Avenida Parallel and wander through the multicultural and lively Raval neighbourhood until you reach Las Ramblas or Plaza Catalunya. The Poble Sec is also connected to other parts of the city and important tourist attractions by metro (lines L2 and L3 as well as several bus lines that are only 150 meters away from our apartment).

Why Bruno chose Sants-Montjuïc

Even if there is no lift and you have to climb 3 floors of narrow stairs we think that the effort is highly rewarded. The apartment is quiet, sunny, spacious and full of caracter. It's an old small building with only 5 apartments and with wooden catalan typical ceiling inside that makes it unique according to us !

What makes this apartment unique

We fell in love with this apartment when we sat on the veranda on the back of the house. Sun is entering through the veranda all the way inside the hallway and change the colors of the house. There is plenty of space and even if it is very close to the center and in a lively neighborhood during the nights it's very quiet and you can sleep fantastically.

Roomy and comfortable close to everything

We loved everything about the Poble Sec/Montjuïc area. It's just outside the tourist core, either a 10-minute walk or two Metro stops to Las Ramblas and everything else you could possibly want. We spent an entire day just exploring the parks, museums, and plazas of Montjuïc.

The neighborhood is filled with restaurants, tapas bars, and nightclubs so it stays lively well into the night. We appreciated that the bedroom windows open onto an interior lightwell instead of the street and the living area is in the rear, so noise wasn't an issue.

The kitchen and main bathroom are very spacious. Water pressure is fantastic and stayed hot for two consecutive showers.

We initally had trouble getting our three Android devices (two Galaxy S7s and a Galaxy Tab) to see the WiFi network, but my iPad had no difficulty. The network did appear on the phones after rebooting them; the tablet never was able to see it although all the other neighboring networks were visible, and the SSID couldn't be added manually.

There is a small market right across the street that had everything we needed (except Nespresso pods, loved that thing!) and the guys running it were really nice. There's a large DIA supermarket about 3 blocks away on the Carrer Sant Pau, but that store was a mess and the staff were LOL rude.

You can actually take the new (2016) L9 Sud Metro line from BCN, which is included in the multi-day Hola BCN unlimited transport card, but it requires two transfers and a lot of walking between stations. We only had carry-on backpacks so it wasn't that bad, but I can't imagine doing it with actual luggage. For €30, the housekeeper arranged a private taxi for our early-morning departure from BCN.

Highly recommended vacation rental, all around!

My husband's favorite place

We stayed in 5 different VRBO properties during our 3 week vacation in Europe and this Barcelona property was my husbands favorite. Great location with good access to the Metro although we walked everywhere. The bathroom was good sized compared to other places we stayed. And there is a half bath available too. My recommendation is to add a mirror to the master bedroom or hallway for families with multiple females needing to do their makeup.

Loved the breakfast sun room. Gorgeous way to start the day. Bought fresh produce around the corner and made dinner salads - grateful for salad spinner and other utensils in well stocked kitchen.

Also appreciated the king size bed...hard to find in Europe. The bed takes up most of the room but there is an extra room next door where we could hang out clothes and store our bags.

Grateful for the washing machine and clothes dried quickly in the sunroom. Thank you so much for sharing your home. We recommend this rental!

A Great Apartment in Barcelona

This apartment has everything you want in a vacation rental. It is spacious and comfortable; the kitchen is well equipped and modern and there is a sun porch on which to enjoy breakfast. Beds are comfortable. The location is great: a few hundred meters from Avenue Parallel, it is a 5 minutes from a metro stop, a 10-15 minute walk from Las Ramblas, and a 15-20 minute walk from Placa d'Espagna. Below, and adjacent to the apartment is a popular (and great!) tapas bar; and half a block away on Blai street there are numerous additional tapas bars. You will need to be prepared to walk up 3 flights of stairs to the apartment, but if you are up to it, this is a great place to stay.

Welcoming, clean, spacious, quiet and central

Really nice flat, and friendly efficient owner who made us feel very at home. The beds are comfortable, kitchen is well equipped and everything works and is clean and feels cared for. I definitely recommend this flat. Occasionally noisy at the weekends at night, but given its central and popular location, I suspect this is the case for all flats in this area.

Lovely flat, breakfast enjoyed in the bright sun porch, and very quiet sleeping rooms

Very nice accommodations, comfortable and clean. Nice location on fairly quiet street, and the flat is two blocks from the metro. As has been said before, the four floor walk up might be a consideration for someone with mobility problems, for our family of three it was a very small inconvenience only when arriving and leaving with luggage. The sleeping rooms are internal and off the street with light well windows, so very very quiet. All in all the flat was very clean and comfortable for our family of three for a week.

The flat is in a diverse and lively neighborhood with lots of tapas places on a nearby pedestrian street. A little market is right across from the flat.

Communications with the landlord were pleasant and timely. We would stay there again.

Perfect location and sunny, clean cosy apartment

Smooth, clean, great neighborhood, big comfortable flat. And our favorite, the veranda, which allows to take in the most of that beautiful weather u get in BCN. Will save the address for our next visit !
