About Roger & Kate Lemire

We are Roger & Kate Lemire and always loved to come up to Pittsburg, NH to camp, hunt, fish, snowmobile, hike, and go boating on the numerous mountain lakes and ponds. In 2000 we purchased a 2.5 acre parcel of land at the end of a ridge top private road. Back then the road to the land was a gated 4 wheel-drive one lane road. We camped out on the land the first season while working to clear a building site for a cabin we planned to build and maybe some day retire to. We would come up from Bow, NH every weekend to work the land. Roger pre-cut the frame to the original cabin at his workshop in Bow, NH and transported the lumber up to Pittsburg, NH on a trailer and then assembled the cabin. Our weekend treks to Pittsburg began to increase to include Thursdays....and then Mondays..and before we knew it we were spending more time in Pittsburg than we were at home in Bow....so we decided to sell the Bow property and make the move. 13 years later we have a greatly improved road, 12 acres of land, 2 rental cabins, and our new main lodge. We are always available to our guests to offer tips on places to fish, hunt, or snowmobile or to help with any questions or issues that may arise.

Roger & Kate Lemire purchased this cottage in 2000

Why Roger & Kate Lemire chose Pittsburg

We chose this parcel of land having looked at many others because of it's location. Right off Hill Road....just a little over a mile to Young's Store....yet such a private setting a lot of local folks didn't even know where it was.

What makes this cottage unique

The private setting is what makes this property unique. At the end of a private road surrounded by the great north woods....no through traffic....lot's of wildlife sightings....quiet....peaceful....sunny.....

Just right

  • 5 of 5

This was my second stay in Pittsburg this winter and probably will be our go to place from now on. Roger was Awsome! He met us at the camp when we arrived to make sure we had eveything we needed and to show us around. The following morning he showed us the way by snowmobile to the main trails and services. We met up with him later in the day and told him my snowmobile was acting up and he brought it in the garage and looked at it with some friends. Even though we couldn’t find the issue, I really appreciated the help. Thanks a bunch. If your looking for a cute and cozy cabin that’s very clean and homey this is the place!!! Thanks Kate and Roger we’ll be seeing you again soon.

cozy

  • 4 of 5

We had a great stay in the cabin. We found it to be warm and inviting. Kathleen was great, meet us upon arrival and explained everything we needed to know about the cabin and finding the snowmobile trials. Location was the best part, off the beaten path and quiet, yet close to trail access.

Fabulous, Cozy Cabin in a Great Location

  • 5 of 5

I stayed for the weekend in the Ally Cabin, what a fabulous cabin! Very well built and decorated, kitchen appliances, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, cookware, dishes, utensils, all there and in great shape. Gas stove in kitchen and heater keep the cabin warm and toasty - bathroom is a good size, TV, DirectTV, DVD, surround sound, wifi, washer/dryer for you convenience, plenty of parking - everything you need for a nice, relaxing weekend.

The location is easy to get to, close to the center of Pittsburg activities, close to Lake Francis, snowmobile trails, all very convenient and easy.

The owners, Roger and Kate, are very nice, available and responsive to your needs, they aim to please and to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. I will be back, and recommend their cabins highly!!
