We are Roland & Jeanette Zimmermann, and live on the property so that we can be available if our guests need anything. We enjoy being on the lake and fishing, and desire to make you feel welcome and at home. We will try to make your vacation as enjoyable as we can.
Jeanette purchased this cabin in 1986
You can't beat the year around beauty of this area. We just havn't found anywhere we like better.
You will enjoy having meals on your deck, having easy access to the lake. Lounging at the water's edge, gazing over this beautiful lake. A sandy lake bottom for great swimming. Sitting around the bonfire, (we have grates to fit right over the fire for grilling) and spending time on the lake. You can fish right off your pier. Watching the baby fawns and the newly hatched birds is a real treat. Hear the loons, most every night. Love gazing at all the stars at night. Hiking & biking on our non-through country road is wonderful.
We had a wonderful stay at Clover! The cabin was he perfect size for a couple's getaway. We had a fireplace and full kitchen to ourselves. The stars in Eagle River were gorgeous and I'm sure the lake would be a blast in the summer. We had a great time cross country skiing at the trails just 15 minutes away. Jeanette and Roland made us feel so at home! We had everything we could have wanted and more!
We rebooked for next year - which speaks to the beautiful cottage, the great hospitality and standard of cleanliness by the owners, the location, which was within bicycling distance of downtown Eagle River, and the amazing vacation we had.
The owners were very helpful and welcoming! Our cabin was clean, organized and had all of the little incidentals one may need but not think to bring along. We had a great stay and would definitely stay here again. Thank you for everything!
This was our first trip to the Northwoods, and it was everything we had hoped it to be. We arrived at the quaint cabin and found it to be as described; it was very clean, organized, and provided the necessary supplies for a comfortable visit. The surroundings were beautiful, and the sounds of nature were amazing (especially enjoyed to sound of the loons). We enjoyed swimming, fishing, boating, and simply relaxing on the piers and the screened in porch. I found myself truly enjoying the screened in porch with a good book, while looking out at the amazing view. We used the canoe and rowboat, and floated around the lake enjoying the scenery. Jeanette was very pleasant and ensured we had everything we needed to make our visit pleasant, they live right next door. We did a day trip to Bond Falls, MI to see the waterfalls and it was well worth the trip (only about 35 miles). The downtown of Eagle River is so cute, and we enjoyed exploring the shops and even went to the street dance on Thursday night. We had a wonderful dinner at Eagle Waters Resort, and would highly recommend it. Overall it was a wonderful trip and if you are looking for a place to go to get away from it all, I would highly recommend Eagle River and this cabin.
We enjoyed with the north woods decor of the cabin and all the amenities. On our first day, Judy was very helpful considering we were without power due to a storm the night before. Jennette also went over and above with the nice plate of cookies left for us. The cabin was neat, clean, and comfortable. The play yard and great swim area was a big hit for our grand kids. We especially liked the privacy. We would recommend this vacation site to all of our friends and hope to revisit next summer.
Stayed there for a few days for the Pond Hockey Championships. The cabin had everything we could need, including a load of wood for the fireplace.
Jeanette and Roland could not have been more gracious hosts. They went above and beyond trying to make sure we had a comfortable, enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.
