The Reviews posted are on our guest quarters Rental. This year we are renting out our main level, minus personal belongings. You won't be disappointed with the beautiful views, private deck, much more space, fireplace, large kitchen, deck, private entrance, etc. Excellent Location; 5 acres with private access and bridge to the Flathead River (200ft River frontage) for your enjoyment; 3 mi from Glacier a Int'l Airport and 2 mi SW of Columbia Falls. Centrally located to Glacier Natl Park, Whitefish, Big Mountain Ski Area, Flathead Lake, Big Fork and Blacktail Mtn Ski Area. We've upgraded to offer our upstairs Main Living that shows off the beautiful view of Columbia Mtn and a small view of the Flathead River. There's is a river channel directly behind the house, where you can fish or cross to go to the river.
2 Large Bedrooms, each with Queen beds and large closets for storage, Sleeping Loft w/trundle, 1 Bath with tub/shower, in between Bedrooms and easy access. The Large Kitchen is well stocked with basics, dishes, silverware, pots and pans, coffee pot, and toaster and crock pot. There is an island and 4 stools open to the Dining Room and Large Living Room. A Large covered deck to enjoy sitting with a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine. There is an outdoor grill, table and chairs and other seating. An environment just right for enjoying a summer evening and beautiful view of Columbia Mtn, river channel and sometimes the river. There is a flat screen TV above the large fireplace, a DVR and lots of movies, and Wifi.
With a short 3-4 minute walk, you will have full access to fishing and bonfires on the Flathead River, enjoying beautiful views and wildlife. This beautiful property has all you need to enjoy your Montana vacation!

We are from Tennessee and Texas. We've spent vacations and ski vacations in Colorado for years, until we came to NW Montana and fell in love! We purchased this beautiful property in August 2011 and moved from Tennessee to Montana in August 2012. We started building
our new home in Oct 2012 and moved in April 2013, after spending the winter in our 5th-Wheel. It was well worth it! David is a builder and built the home with 2 other people. The Main and upper level to the home was finished in April 2013. A guest quarters and kitchen suite was finished the spring 2014 and a studio completed in September 2015. We live on the main level most of the year, but chose to live in our guest quarters for the summer of 2016. We are very quiet and the upper floor is very insulated. There is a Front Private Entrance just for our guests and a private entrance for us. Because we are on the property, we will do our best to make your stay enjoyable and stress free! We enjoy people, but at the same time recognize that some may prefer not to be social. Its up to you!
We have 2 married daughters. One lives close and the other lives most of the year on a ranch in southern Colorado on their family ranch. We had our first grandchild in April 2015. And love being grandparents.

One unique thing about this property is its close proximity to so many area attractions and Glacier International Airport, yet you have the feeling you are out in forest somewhere. There are houses on this street, but you will feel like you are in your own little retreat. There is a waterway directly behind the house that has water in it 8-11 mos out of the year, depending on the precipitation. AND of course we have 205" of Flathead River Frontage. We share the road and bridge to the Flathead River with our Canadian sometime neighbor. It is about a 3-5 min walk to the river. The Island has a fire pit and a beautiful View of the River and the canyon entrance to Glacier National Park. We, with our neighbor, have the only bridge access to the Flathead River in this area, making it very private.
And we have Jeeps for rent to take out for the day or use for the while week! Check out!
You will enjoy looking out the windows or sitting on the covered deck with a morning cup of coffee, watching the birds hunt for their breakfast. Most likely you will see deer, on the island and close to the house, or grouse, fox and other wildlife if you sit quietly in the morning or evening on the River edge. We will try to make your stay as pleasant as can so you can return home Refreshed! And in September of this year we had a very "nice" Black bear to show up. I think he was more afraid of us than us him.
You can fish off the Private Creek bridge OR fish on the Flathead River. If you have a kayak or raft, you have private access to the river to launch or return to.
We do have 2 kayaks that can be put in up river and float down to the house. If you need or want transportation to the river, we can provide that for a fee. the Fee depends on how far up river you want to be put in. We do provide Bear Spray.

We loved our stay at the Flathead River Retreat. It is just minutes from the airport, grocery store, restaurants and Glacier National Park. The river frontage is a real plus. It's a beautiful setting; quiet and peaceful.
David and Camille have a great home with open concept kitchen/living/dining and porch overlooking the mountains and the Flathead River. Close to restaurants and grocery in Columbia Falls, short ride to Whitefish. My kids had a blast- fishing, hiking around, swimming off the bridge. Couldn't have picked a better house- wish we would have reserved it for longer.
So enjoyed David, Camille, and their home and property. Great location for easy entrance to the park.
This amazing property exceeded our expectations!! Within a few minutes of Kalispell airport and a short drive to Glacier National park, this cabin could not be in a better location. Camille and David were amazing host! We absolutely loved the accomadations as everything was clean and we were very comfortable. We loved cooking out nightly on the gas grill, and we loved sitting on the porch taking in God's masterpiece in the form of the beautiful Montana night sky. We spent alot of time down by the river enjoying the amazing mountain views. We fell in love with this property and Montana, and we will definitely be back!!
This unit was so adorable, great location as we were on the go a lot experiencing glacier park and the surrounding towns. Very private, quiet, except for the rooster next door. A short walk to the river was also pleasant and peaceful. I think renting your upstairs would be nice for a larger family, as for me and my husband we were quite comfortable in the lower apartment.

Our apartment was perfect for two. The location, waking distance from Flathead river was beautiful and very close to Columbia Falls and to Glacier National park. Basically the rental was one big room with a bunk bed arrangement, a useable kitchen and a good bathroom. We never got to use the hot tub. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The only thing that would have improved the rental would have been a chest of drawers.
Please notice, that the reviews are for the downstairs guest quarters. This year we are renting Only the upstairs main living, with gorgeous views and space. It is totally private from the guest quarters with PRIVATE Front Entrance. Check out the photos! You won't be disappointed! The property is on 5 acres on the Flathead River.
Even though it feels rural, we are 5 min from grocery store, restaurants, gas, 3mi to Glacier Int'l airport, churches, and other amenities. 18 mi from Glacier Natl Park, 18 mi to Big Mountain Skiing, 30 min to Flathead Lake, 7 mi to Whitefish, 11 mi to Kalispell shopping. It is a beautiful area with a short 3-4 min walk to the Flathead river, where you can roast marshmallows and hot dogs or sit by the river enjoying the beautiful view or take a walk through the woods.
