Perfect for a Family Visit
We brought 4 adults and 3 children for a week of hiking and exploring Acadia. The house was perfect. The property borders the National Park, and the quiet neighborhood consists of woods on one side and a large field with a pond on the other. The house itself was clean and spacious. The kitchen is equipped and functional. We cooked in a couple of nights, and found everything we needed. One of the things we enjoyed the most was the screened in porch. This was a great place to end the day, watching the sunset. All in our party enjoyed our stay and would recommend this home.
Private but close to everything.
Home is in a private, peaceful setting but close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Layout of home was great for our family- everyone had their own space. Owner friendly and responsive.
Bar harbor summer vacation
The house is super close to everything in town and to Acadia park itself. The house is very well taken care of and Margaret ( the owner) seems very kind and very accessible if you need her.
warm and inviting
GREAT HOUSE,..QUIET SETTING..THERE WAS 3 OF US..SO WE ALL HAD OUR OWN BEDROOM & BATHROOMS ..
WE WOULD RENT THIS HOME AGAIN
Clean, Spacious, Quiet, Great Location
Had a wonderful week. Acadia NP is just a few minutes away, Town (Bar Harbor) is 10 minutes. Property is maintained well and very clean. Furnishing is “vacation home random” but in good shape. There’s WiFi, but Internet access is intermittent. Be prepared to bring your own paper & soap products. Note that bedrooms are on multiple floors and the main living area is on the 2nd floor— lots of steps which might be an issue for older people or families with kids who don’t want to be too far from parents.
Thank you Steven for your great review. The cable company was putting new cable on our road the week you were here causing internet issues.Spectrum is back up and excellent.
Great location, big enough for a family of seven, very quite, well supplied., very clean
We would stay again. This home and it’s location were perfect. You have to drive to get around, but so close to a great lake to swim in, hiking trails and restaurants. Very quite and private.
Our home is located about 1 mile from Acadia Park Entrance with 57 miles of hiking and biking carriage trails or travel by car on the one way Park Loop Road for easy access to Cadillac Mt., Sand Beach and Jordan Pond. If you don't want to drive the Free explorer buses will take you through the park.
