Our stay was very comfortable. Enjoyed the large space. And nice kitchen setup, where we could cook several meals at home. The house was not cluttered and it was easy to keep my grand-daughter under control.
My family and I stayed here while exploring Acadia National Park and enjoyed our stay. The house is conveniently located to the park entrance and a short drive into town where you can access the local grocery store and other shops and restaurants.
Beds were comfy and the kitchen came equipped with the necessary items to cook a meal. The living room furniture is a bit old and you sink into it when you sit, but it serves its purpose. The house was not as clean as I expected when we arrived. There was a random m&m and a Chex cereal on the carpet near the island which leads me to believed it was not vacuumed prior to our arrival. There were sprinkles on the floor in the living room. There were cobwebs in the lower level area in the bedroom and tv area. Master bath shower and downstairs shower are very small. If ladies are looking to shave their legs you would need to use the larger bathroom off the kitchen which has a full tub. Nothing horrendous but could have used a more thorough cleaning. We had a wonderful time and these things would not deter us from staying again. Very private and secluded and quiet.
We had a Wonderful Week
Cute, Quaint, Quite. Great location. Kids enjoyed the nearby lake
Perfect for a Family Visit
We brought 4 adults and 3 children for a week of hiking and exploring Acadia. The house was perfect. The property borders the National Park, and the quiet neighborhood consists of woods on one side and a large field with a pond on the other. The house itself was clean and spacious. The kitchen is equipped and functional. We cooked in a couple of nights, and found everything we needed. One of the things we enjoyed the most was the screened in porch. This was a great place to end the day, watching the sunset. All in our party enjoyed our stay and would recommend this home.
Private but close to everything.
Home is in a private, peaceful setting but close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Layout of home was great for our family- everyone had their own space. Owner friendly and responsive.
Bar harbor summer vacation
The house is super close to everything in town and to Acadia park itself. The house is very well taken care of and Margaret ( the owner) seems very kind and very accessible if you need her.
Our home is located about 1 mile from Acadia Park Entrance with 57 miles of hiking and biking carriage trails or travel by car on the one way Park Loop Road for easy access to Cadillac Mt., Sand Beach and Jordan Pond. If you don't want to drive the Free explorer buses will take you through the park.
