Our condo is a 3 1/2 floor split-level townhouse condo with front and rear decks, floor-to-ceiling windows and breathtaking mountain views.
At 1400 sqft, it's very spacious, providing 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, galley kitchen with a breakfast bar and adjacent dining room, and a large living room with multiple seating areas, and a wood-burning fireplace (unlimited dry firewood outside the front door and in the unit).
The master bedroom offers a king-size bed. The second bedroom offers two twins. Additionally, there's a sofabed in the living room and another in the dining area.
The living room sports a large-screen HDTV with cable TV service, surround sound system and DVD player. Free WiFi is available throughout the unit.
Amenities include washer/dryer and dishwasher in the unit. Covered parking for one vehicle, plus ample additional off-street parking. Swimming pool which is open Memorial Day to Labor Day, Thanksgiving weekend and all through the ski season (It's heated to over 100° in the colder months). His/hers dressing rooms, showers and saunas at poolside. Tennis courts. Miles of hiking biking, etc... by just walking right out the door.
For skiers and/or hikers, Stowe Mountain Resort (and Mt. Mansfield) is only 4 miles from the condo ... about an 8-minute drive door-to-slopes.
The (free) Mountain Road Shuttle provides regularly scheduled service year-round between the Mountain and the Village ... there's a stop at the corner of Notchbrook and Mountain Rd (108).
Notchbrook Condominiums is dedicated to 'quiet enjoyment' of the area. Our location boasts a wonderful view of the Mt. Mansfield valley with unobstructed views to the West and South. Usually the only sound you'll hear are the birds, crickets and the Notch Brook crashing through its gorge as it tumbles down Bingham Falls.
I live in Newton, MA and work as a programmer in Boston. I also am a part-time PSIA LV-I ski instructor up at Stowe.
My family consists of my wife Gigi, and my two kids Vida (9) and Kyle (5).

We purchased this property because we just LOVE the Stowe area and spend a lot of time here ... especially in the winter. This property is so close to the mountain, yet also convenient to the village. The views are breathtaking and the space is so warm, comfortable and inviting ... just perfect for our family. It also has so many amenities to offer year-round.

The first thing that impressed us about this condo is the abundant natural light. We were then amazed with all the space and the intelligent layout. Finally, our jaws hit the floor when we first saw the panoramic views available from the 1st floor bedroom and 2nd floor living room and porch.
The proximity to the mountain can't be beat ... especially at this price. The little playground outside the unit is perfect for our (or your) kids to play unattended, yet close enough to just call them in for dinner by standing on the kitchen-side porch.
There are nice hikes to be had right outside the front door. You could walk to The Matterhorn (a local institution, watering hole and eatery), and to several natural swimming spots. With a short drive, you can go visit Smuggler's Notch, or down into Stowe Village.
Within 30-40 minutes, you can be in Montpelier or Burlington with all that these wonderful towns have to offer.
Cross-country skiing or snowshoeing your thing? We've got the Cross-Country Ski Center at the Stowe Mountain resort with miles of groomed trails. Just a few miles in the other direction, and you can take advantage of the renowned Trapp Family Lodge and their skiing. The more adventurous can head off and break your own trail right from our front door ... your thirst for adventure is the only limitation.
We loved the Luckett's Notchbrook Condo. Beds were comfortable and ample bedding and towels were provided. The view from the back porch is just stunning - weather permitting, you might have to sit out on the patio for hours. The main living area is very comfortable, augmented by a wood fireplace with ample firewood supplied. The owner certainly made it easy to enjoy TV - excellent instructions for the remote controls are provided, and you'll likely be impressed by the sound system that accompanies the TV. A stereo CD player is also offered in the dining/kitchen area. The clothes washer and dryer work well and came in quite handy. We didn't use the pool or tennis courts, but they looked good. As the cook for our family, I thought the kitchen was just fine and adequately supplied with dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, although, admittedly, we ate out quite frequently because there are so many excellent restaurants nearby. Highly recommend doing the zip line tour at Stowe Mountain - the 3 zip lines are very long and super fast! Eat at the restaurant at the top. Also check out Matterhorns, Doc Ponds, the Dutch Pancake House, Piecasso, the IdleThyme Brewery, the Green Goddess Cafe, and Michael's on the Hill. Rent bikes from MoutainOps and ride on the 5.5 mile long Stowe Recreation Path. If you want to hike to the top of the Pinnacle Summit, the hike was rated "moderate" in trail guides but I found it very difficult yet worthwhile. Also be sure to hike the Long Trail from the Nose to the Chin - hint - take the Stowe Toll Road to the Top Visitor Center and try to arrive before 10am. Back to the property, I was also impressed by the very thoughtful and useful placement of electrical power strips near every outlet - this made it very easy to find plugs for our gadgets without crawling behind couches, chairs, or under beds. I'm going to Best Buy to get a dozen power strips for my own home. The best measure or rating for any property is whether or not you would like to return for another stay, and for this condo in beautiful Stowe VT our answer is absolutely "YES!" Warm and spacious condo for myself and 4 friends. Plenty of room to spread out and relax after a great day of skiing. It only took about 15 minutes between locking the condo door and putting on my boots in Mansfield lodge, so it's definitely only second best to being ski-in/ski-out. Don't miss out on the HEATED POOL... it was literally like being in a 50,000 gallon hot tub.
We found that this was the perfect condo for our young family of five. The condo was spacious, comfortable and so clean! We loved the amenities as well - the playground and tennis/basketball courts across from the condo and the pool (with towel service and saunas) were right there. The views and the location were spectacular. The top of the Stowe Rec path is very close to the base of Notchbrook Road and is perfect for a family bike ride. My husband took off for a mountain bike ride from the bottom of Notchbrook Road and compared the trails to Colorado. Also, there is a great hike to Bingham Falls from the Notchbrook condo complex or from the Mountain Road. The waterfall was spectacular and the hike was everyone's vacation highlight.
The condo is close to Stowe's restaurants and Main Street as well as Waterbury.
All in all it was a perfect vacation and there wasn't anything about the condo that we didn't like. We can't wait to go back!
