Very nice, tucked away cottage.

  • 5 of 5

The owner was very communicative prior to our arrival and answered all my questions. The home was very clean and close to everything, yet you felt away from it all. Everything we needed was in minutes from the cottage. The only thing about fall in New England are the Spiders. A few of them made their way into the house:) Your family would thoroughly enjoy staying in this home with everything you would need for a long stay. We fell in love with Martha's Vineyard!!!!

Great Location in Edgartown

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for 3 couples. Great location walking distance to downtown but totally hidden and quiet. Unless you are going to or from State Beach, you can totally avoid "the Triangle" traffic mess. The bike path to South Beach is at the end of the driveway. The house was immaculate and had all we needed. The large screened porch was our dining room and gathering place. Bedding was comfortable and owner supplies all linens and bath towels so you don't have to bring all that bulky stuff. Great house for the money. Only negative was no electrical outlet in the upstairs bathroom. We would definitely rent here again.

Loved this Katama house! I want to go back!

  • 5 of 5

My husband, one-year-old daughter, and I stayed here from 7/9 to 7/16/11 and loved it! The listing description and pictures on this site were accurate, and we were very pleased when we arrived at the house. It's fairly secluded, located off the main road down a long dirt driveway. It's a 10- to 15-minute walk to Edgartown center. The Katama General Store is practically at the end of the driveway, which is very convenient. (It's a cute store with good coffee and a decent selection of gourmet-ish food. We walked there every morning for iced coffee.) We could tell the house has had its share of renovations recently. The bathrooms seemed new and were nice, clean, and spacious (and I loved the jacuzzi tub downstairs), and the kitchen had new counter tops. The hard wood floors seemed pretty new too. The screened-in porch was awesome. We ate all of our meals there and hung out there at night. The master bedroom is on the first floor, which worked very well for us because of our young daughter (who slept in a pack-n-play in the room with us). The house was great when we had overnight company, too, because they could stay upstairs, where there are two bedrooms and a full bathroom, so they had their own space - a whole floor to themselves. The owner was very nice and friendly. We would love to rent the same house next year, so I would definitely recommend this rental!

Perfect vacation for my family!

  • 5 of 5

I'm from Southern California and I brought my young family to MV for two weeks in the summer. I stayed at this house in Katama and it was absolutely PERFECT for my kids. They had plenty of room to run around in the backyard, there are virtually no neighbors, and my husband and I could relax on the porch and read. I liked how comfortable the house immediately felt and the location was ideal - 10 minute walk to ice cream downtown and a 5 minute drive to South Beach. The owner, Fred, is super helpful too. I give this place two enthusiastic thumbs up!
