Amazing place with beautiful wild surroundings

  • 5 of 5

This place was amazing! We rented this place for my daughters senior graduation. Let me tell you that this place is amazing for entertaining. Had a large patio right off the kitchen where we were able to set up some tables and chairs. There is a great bbq grill with a large outdoor counter. Smaller patio off the bathroom was great for early morning coffee. The pool and hot tub were another awesome touch to this house. Lots of area for outdoor hanging out with family. The inside was impeccably clean and the beds were comfortable. Everyone had to try out the dual shower in the master lol! I would highly recommend this place because its a little secluded piece of heaven.

Disappointed Oro Valley April 2016

  • 2 of 5

This home has a great location, was comfortable and has an open floor plan with plenty of room for a family of six. Unfortunately, the home, particularly the outdoors has been neglected. We have rented several homes through this site and have not encountered problems like this in the past. The outdoor tiled areas have not been cleaned in some time - stained and sticky. The grill area was disappointing – the umbrella was broken and did not open, only two of three burners on the gas grill worked, the counter had been broken and not repaired, the grill was not cleaned and had old barbecue sauce stuck to the immediate area around it. The hot tub worked but the water was cloudy and had a unpleasant smell, needs to be serviced. The washing machine was dirty, and we elected not to use it. In general, the grounds need a good weeding and sweeping.

Well needed get away.

  • 5 of 5

OMG!

I have to start by saying OMG because of the great time we had. The home was amazing and more than adequate for two couples. The homes layout inside and out was easy to utilize the entire property. The pool area with its Jacuzzi was used daily, especially after a long hike at Catalina State Park. We began our day cooking breakfast in the well equipped kitchen and eating just outside the kitchen. Each evening we'd Bbq'd something while siting around the grill enjoying a glass of wine and watching the sun sets. Keep in mind the magnificent views regardless which patio your on. Todd was most helpful and recommended an amazing authentic Mexican restaurant which we enjoyed. Again, we really enjoyed the home, the area and Tucson.

Hope to be back soon.

Relaxing stay

  • 5 of 5

The house is well appointed, clean and comfortable in a peaceful neighborhood. The different outside seating areas mean you can choose to have sun, shade or breezes, depending on the time of day and the temperature. Todd was a welcoming, attentive host on our arrival, although we didn't need to call on him for anything during our week's stay. We rarely, if ever, go back to the same place for vacations, but this is a house we'd like to return to in the future.

Disappointed Oro Valley February 2016

  • 1 of 5

Location is fabulous ............. but that's about it. Carmen A Marotta owner, the photo's posted do not reflect the poor condition of this house.

The home, especially outdoors has been very neglected. We were there for two weeks, the hot tub was broken and never repaired during our stay. Outdoor furniture in poor condition. Gas grill dirty and some burners did not work. Side gate literally fell off the hinges onto the ground! Cheap polyester bed sheets, lid on trash can fell off. Kitchen, poor quality pots and pans, can't be at sink and open dishwasher. Had to buy light bulbs, sponges, paper products. Washing machine lid has to be propped up to get the wet laundry out. BEWARE!! Bobcat likes to jump over the wall. Fun to see but might be dangerous with small children around.

Love Oro Valley, but would not return to this home.

Owner's Response: Dear V, As the owner of this property, which we pridefully love so much, we were shocked and very disappointed at the negative review. Nonetheless we want to assure prospective renters that we are addressing these important issues. The Jacuzzi brand whirlpool will be repaired and returned to full operation. It was a problem and it is unfortunate and we addressed the problem professionally by discounting to the renter who wrote this article. There were 2 service calls trying to repair it during their stay and this was unfortunate and is being addressed. We are also very sorry that the cleaning service did not make certain that the grill service was up to par. As an avid chef and bbq lover, we will make certain that all of the gas jets are firing on the beautiful built in bbq. The outdoor furniture is adequate and we may add to our collection but there are so many gorgeous patios and outdoor living areas that we want to spread furniture all over and some of it is better quality than others. As an amateur chef and food critic, I am certain that we have excellent cookware and that this is really an excessive criticism. The kitchen is small but adequate for one chef and there are additional prep spaces with a big microwave near the bbq and the laundry room with a big sink. Our property manager usually does a great job with things like light bulbs and paper products but we will redouble our efforts with him. He is just as shocked and I am certain that he will be all over these quality issues. Again the criticism of the washing machine is too extreme. It is not a brand new state of the art but it is adequate. We have never had this kind of negativity in the 5 years that we have owned and rented this property. We invite prospective renters to contact Todd Wolff and discuss any concerns they have. Everyone else who has rented this property has loved it as much as we do and we hope you will too. Sincerely, Carmen & Nancy, owners

Ora Valley January 2016

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay and the house. It is close to amenities and has wonderful views. We spent or two weeks hiking and in the hot tub. Todd was wonderful to deal with and was responsive to our small needs. We are definitely returning to the same house in the future.
