About Lisa or Michael Wood

We are Lisa and Michael Wood, and we decided to move to this area back in 1991 after enjoying visiting here. We both originally came from the aircraft industry, but had the opportunity to do something we dreamed of, build and live the mountain lifestyle. We personally cleared the land and built this log home. We also maintain and clean it ourselves. If you've visited the area before, you will understand the attraction to this area. If you are visiting for the first time, we guarantee you will come often.

Lisa or Michael Wood purchased this cabin in 1993

Why Lisa or Michael Wood chose Tennessee

We decided on this property because of the location, just 2 3/4 miles (or 2 streets away) from the Parkway and Wears Valley Rd. in the middle of Pigeon Forge. All the roads are paved and wide leading to the cabin, and the driveway is paved also. We also liked the fact that the cabin sits up an off the street with the woods on all sides of a 1/2 acre lot.

What makes this cabin unique

We feel the unique benefits of staying at our cabin is that it is a real log cabin that is well maintained and super clean. It is super cozy and tastefully decorated. Centrally located to all the restaurants, shopping and music theaters one direction, and the Smoky Mountain Nat'l Park the other.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We just needed a change of pace. This time we were coming to just relax. The cabin provided everything we needed. We just lazed around whether it was reading on the rockers on the porch, or the gliders inside. We soaked whether it was outside in the hot-tub or the jacuzzi inside. We grilled many meals out on the deck, it was nice not have to eat out constantly.

This home was beyond our expectation in comfort!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I were looking for a quiet comfortable and clean mountain cabin for 4-5 days to celebrate our 40th anniversary and we found "Pine Haven' Cabin" on home away that met all our needs. We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin just a few miles from all conveniences and entertainment we were looking for in Pigeon Forge. Lisa and Michael Wood were excellent hosts in providing a clean and welcoming cabin. We recommend this property to any couple who want a quiet and accommodating stay in the Smokey Mountains. We didn't want to leave and wished we had more time, so we will be coming back soon. Also, we have recommended this cabin to several couples who will be looking for availability in the near future. Many Thanks to Lisa Michael for their warm Welcome Message and Surprise in the refrigerator. We look forward to a return visit. Joseph & Jan

Clean, quiet, relaxing, uniquely special

  • 5 of 5

We had such a great time at Pine Haven. It was especially clean. Lot of notes to explain how things worked and how to properly use the machines/appliances in the house. Personalized touches were very welcomed. We will definitely visit there again and recommend the cabin to friends and family.

Cozy, clean, close to town, but away from it all.

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was great for a get away. I was less than a 5 minute drive to Pigeon Forge and 15 minutes to Gatlinburg. The cabin was close to others, but you can't see anyone else from the porch or windows. Very quiet and relaxing. The inside is decorated very nicely and is super clean. We didn't cook there, but there seemed to be a good selection of cooking utensils and pans. We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent getaway for couples! Close to things but also quiet in the hills

  • 5 of 5

We spent five nights at the cabin and had a really excellent stay in every way. Although there are other cabins in the immediate area, you are secluded and it is quiet. We enjoyed the hot tub most nights on the secluded front porch. Cabin was immaculate and clean, real log cabin construction, personalized greeting and a comfy feel to it all. Cabin is just a few miles from the main strip in Pigeon Forge so it's easy to get to the fun, great eats, and a short drive to Gatlinburg and some hiking waterfall trails. Pool table was a nice touch and we even played a few games of pool. Overall we would stay here again! We've stayed at other cabins that were more remote and completely secluded, but this was more conveniently located to do activities. The only thing missing was a mountain view from the rocking chairs on the front porch, but a little trimming of a few trees and you might even have that too! thank you Lisa for a splendid stay and experience!

Another Great Stay!!!

  • 5 of 5

This is our second year that we stayed at Mike and Lisa's cabins. Last year 2016 was our 49th Anniversary and we stayed in the " Sequoia ". This year we stayed at "Pine Haven". Both was really great. Lisa went the extra mile in seeing that our stay was memorable, with the greetings on the black board and the gold 50th Anniversary banner on the front porch, along with the chilled sparkling cider and glasses in the refrigerator. But we think the "topper" is the cleanliness of the cabins. Both times we found them to be immaculate. You don't have to worry about taking little critters home with you. Thank you folks for a great stay in the smokies. We highly recommend them to anyone wanting a great place with peace and quiet and a carefree stay at reasonable rates.
