The Union Deposit Homestead, built in the 1760's, is located in the quaint Village of Union Deposit, a 3 minute drive to Hershey Park, the Giant center and downtown Hershey.
Our Stone House was one of three original buildings in this historic community. It is nestled on a private park-like setting on the edge of the village with mature trees and a small stream. It is located adjacent to open fields.
At one time the house was known to have hidden stairways and a room to hide from the Indians that raided homesteads in the 1700's. Today it still has many interesting features including the large fireplace that was once the summer kitchen, two porches, a covered patio with a fenced and gated play area.
Enjoy the Home as you relax after a day at Hershey Park or from your tour of South Central Pennsylvania attractions, i.e. Pa Dutch county, Gettysburg Battlefield, numerous golf courses, Zoo America, Hershey Rose Garden, Chocolate World, Capitol attractions, or swimming at the Hershey pool and play area, and many more.

We always admired this home. When it came on the market, we rushed to see it and the love continues to today. We love older homes, the home and setting was so charming it spoke to our desire to part of it's history. These dwellings are masterpieces of the early settlers who used what was available to create beautiful and sustaining buildings. The saying, 'If Walls Could Talk'...can we really imagine all that must have been taken place here.. The best part is location. All the history and close to everything! We proudly welcome you to our home. Come, relax and ENJOY. Sincerely, Diane and Bob
Diane and Bob McNary purchased this farmhouse in 2005
I own several timeshares and have been using them and B&B's for over thirty years. This was the best experience I have ever had. The house was perfect: warm, inviting, comfortable, beautifully decorated. The owners thought of everything to make a stay perfect indoors and in the lovely yard and patio. It would comfortably hold the maximum guests allowed. I had to call the owner to find the iron! She was so pleasant. The location is absolutely perfect. Just minutes from Hershey Park, stores, restaurants and a large supermarket. The house itself is located at the end of a street with total privacy. The pictures do not do it justice. Also, much more economical than hotel rooms. Thank you for sharing this amazing home. I recommend this property to everyone.
My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Stone House! Such a neat history but modernly updated made it a great match. There was more than enough room (8adults, 3 kids) everyone was comfortable. We have rented houses before but this house goes above and beyond with everything you need (especially in the kitchen, even a griddle for pancakes which we brought not thinking one would be there)! It is also very close to downtown Hershey area which made it very convenient. My family and I would book this place again if ever staying in the Hershey area again!
Me and my family we enjoyed this big and beautiful house while we were here to celebrate my daughters wedding in Elizabethtown PA. The house has every Utensils you need from breakfast to dinner and also to bake. We enjoyed so much that we planning to rent in near future. Thank you Diane!!!
This is a lovely home and was ideal for our family reunion which included three little girls. The only problem we had was when we wanted to fill a small wading pool for them. The outside water outlets were not working and when we phoned Diane she said it would cost an additional fee to fill the pool, which I felt was unreasonable since we had paid a good price for the week. I was overruled and we called Diane back she came over to turn on the outside water. She then stated that we could NOT fill the pool as it would cost her too much money.
This home was perfect for our family. Everyone had plenty of personal space and even more space to gather together as a family. It was so close to Hershey park, supermarket and restaurants. The house was clean and had everything you could need to cook and enjoy yourself. I am looking forward to our next visit to the Hershey Stone house!! Thank you Diane and Bob!
We had a very enjoyable time staying in Union Deposit. It really was a place that we could unwind with multiple families. The pictures do not do the inside of this house justice! Some of the furniture has been updated, including two great areas to hang out and watch TV. We loved the bedrooms too and is really suited for young families and people with walking disabilities. We will defintely stay again!
