About Wendy Kapp

A note from Wendy Kapp- Owner of Two Casitas Santa Fe Vacation Rentals

Having been raised in Chicago, my soul longed for the massive blue skies and mountains I first saw when my mother, well-known watercolor artist Phyllis Kapp of Waxlander Gallery, introduced me to this magnificent area when I was 6 years old.

While returning west in 1975, I came through Santa Fe and fell in love with Northern New Mexico once again. I found the people here, especially back in '75, to be the most authentic people I had ever met and I decided to make Santa Fe my home. My extensive knowledge from living here for since 1975 makes me the perfect, local hostess to give you tips on making your stay memorable. I hope you come to love Santa Fe and, in-turn Two Casitas, as much as I do.

Why Wendy Kapp chose Northeast

Location, location, location is why I chose these homes; walk everywhere.

What makes this house unique

When you stay with Two Casitas you stay like a local, not like a tourist, and experience Santa Fe like you live here. Who knows, maybe you will someday!

Guestbook comments from the manager

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Kiva Casita. It is in a quiet location yet walking distant to the plaza and farmer's market. We even walked to and from Canyon Blvd. We found the casita to be clean and well appointed. It even has an expresso machine. We also appreciated the fact that there was washing soap and dryer sheets for the washing machine and well as other essential supplies in the kitchen...salt, sugar, dish soap. The two full baths are usual when traveling with a teenager. She was very comfortable sleeping on the day bed in the "hallway". Our reservation request was promptly answered (we received a telephone call), same when we called with a simple question on our arrival and again when I emailed regarding a left-behind item. One of our favorite meals was at the Cowgirl Hall of Fame. Enjoyed the opera and the tour of the state capital. However we were a little disappointed with the OKeefe Museum as it has a special exhibit and only a few OKeefe's on display. Loved the Spanish Market and Madrid.

Wonderful Christmas vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful and very special Christmas at Casa Manzana. There was a Christmas tree perfectly placed in the living room when we arrived and the kids were all smiles from that point on. The master bed was super comfortable and we loved having the patio right off the bedroom to let our Boston Terrier be free at times. There was a small grassy area outside the patio for her (on leash) as well. There is also a huge dog park within 5-10 min drive. We walked to town which was about 10-15 mins. and easy. Kitchen had everything including coffee and basic spices. 2nd bedroom had room for an air mattress for our 3rd child. 2 bathrooms were very large and easy to share. Very large dining table for eating and for game playing and living room very loungable for all of us. Fireplace was nice but flue not drawing well, and made room a little smoky. We LOVED our accommodations and would return without hesitation.
