Historic Eastside Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

With courage, hardship and determination the ancestors of our cities tri-cultural people all traveled up the Historic Old Santa Fe Trail making our unique city the place it is today. Now you can stay in this lovely Southwest-style home right off this famous trail with all the comforts of modern living. The elegant design gives light and beauty to this spacious 1,100 square foot casa. Architectural elegance is obvious when you enter with its high ceilings, double French doors opening onto two private completely enclosed patios adding to the sophisticated ambiance of this home and safety of this pet friendly home.

The bedroom has a king bed, and there is a comfortable sleeper sofa in the living room, which is also equipped with a flat screen TV. There is a full kitchen and a lovely round antique table in the dinning room. A kiva fireplace, vigas, bath with shower and tub featuring Mexican tiles, brick and floors are some of the homes other features. For those of you with sophisticated taste, yet still enjoying the flavor and details of the Old West, I highly recommend Casa Old Santa Fe Trail with only a 15 minute walk to the end of the trail where the famed Plaza is (.8 miles). You are about a 20 minute walk (1.4 miles) to Canyon Road as well as this part of the historic south capital neighborhood boarders with the east side.

About Two Casitas, Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, Wendy Kapp

A note from Wendy Kapp- Owner of Two Casitas Santa Fe Vacation Rentals

Having been raised in Chicago, my soul longed for the massive blue skies and mountains I first saw when my mother, well-known watercolor artist Phyllis Kapp of Waxlander Gallery, introduced me to this magnificent area when I was 6 years old.

While returning west in 1975, I came through Santa Fe and fell in love with Northern New Mexico once again. I found the people here, especially back in '75, to be the most authentic people I had ever met and I decided to make Santa Fe my home. My extensive knowledge from living here for since 1975 makes me the perfect, local hostess to give you tips on making your stay memorable. I hope you come to love Santa Fe and, in-turn Two Casitas, as much as I do.

Almost perfect in every way

  • 5 of 5

Of all the houses we have rented in Santa Fe, this one was our very favorite. It is so beautifully appointed and so comfortable, we were not in any rush to go out for sightseeing. The house was very accurately described in the listing. It is relatively close to town if you are comfortable walking a half mile. My husband is disabled, so that wasn't an option for us. Although climbing stairs is difficult for him, he did manage the few steps leading to the front door and a step down into the living room. Parking was very convenient - right in front of the entrance to the house. The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom was spacious with lots of closet space. The kitchen had everything I needed including little things like sugar and salt which was nice not to have to buy. A bottle of wine, some snacks, coffee and cream were also waiting for us when we arrived. Management was very responsive and helpful. Although the house is on a busy street, the traffic noise was never a problem. We went to the opera many nights -the drive took about 20 minutes because there is considerable traffic getting through Santa Fe. Coming home at night though was a breeze. I would definitely want to come back!

Fabulous home!

  • 5 of 5

I loved everything about this home. I had my mother with me and several days she just needed to stay home and it was so pleasant here. The home was exactly as described and was so clean and comfortable. Very comfortable bed and I cooked several meals in the lovely kitchen! We were not able to walk to the places we wanted to go but it is certainly walkable for most people I am sure. I would encourage anyone to stay here and I will certainly be back! Thanks so much!!

Nice stay

  • 4 of 5

We really did enjoy our stay and we're pleased with the accommodations!

We did find the close proximity to old Santa Fe trail a pro an a con- a con because it was so highly trafficked and walking with a dog was not quite ideal.

Other than that, it was great.

Next time we

will opt for a quieter locale...

Owner's Response: We're glad that you liked the house! During August, Santa Fe can get crowded downtown, so that is definitely something to keep in mind. Next time you come, we will be sure to find you a home that is more secluded. We have a very diverse selection of locations. Thanks again, and we hope to see you again in Santa Fe some time soon.

Great house, great location

  • 4 of 5

This house matched the on line photos perfectly. It was clean, the property manager was responsive to our needs and location was ideal. The new appliances were a nice surprise. We stayed for a month and were very comfortable and cozy. The wood for the fireplace was a big plus. We enjoyed a fire in the fireplace most nights. We walked everywhere, the location is fantastic. Great shopping, museums, gallery's and restaurants were within easy walking distance. I would certainly recommend the property.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the great review! It is always a challenge to get the pictures to represent the home properly, so we are glad that you felt our photographer did a good job! Yes, the fireplace in this home is absolutely ideal, and the home is great for walking around when you're NOT enjoying the fire. We hope to see you again in Santa Fe some time soon.
