House, 2 bdrm 2 bath sleeps 4

Located less than one mile (approximately eight blocks) from the historic downtown Plaza, this authentic adobe home with two bedrooms and two en suite bathrooms has a very bright, modern interior with skylights in almost every room. The living room boasts diamond plaster adobe walls with a beautifully stained concrete floor, large fireplace and over-sized French doors that open up to private, enclosed backyard. The covered portal in the backyard has a table and two chairs for casual dining, as well as additional seating, and an outdoor BBQ.

The kitchen is full of wonderful details including butcher block counter tops and an original Chandler oven that works beautifully and is fully stocked with all the supplies necessary to cook any extravagant meal as easily as nuke a frozen dinner. The intimate dining area includes an original kiva fireplace and a round dining table that seats six.

Both bedrooms include queen beds and televisions that are mounted on the wall. The master bedroom features a very large walk through closet leading to the master bathroom with a walk-in shower with two shower heads.

About Two Casitas, Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, Wendy Kapp

I first came to Santa Fe in 1975 and have called it home ever since. I fell in love with how authentic the people were here. After being raised in Chicago I knew I did not want to live my life in the City. I feel so fortunate to have found Santa Fe to make my home. Primarily like so many of us who move here I was drawn to the magnificent landscape and sweeping skies. I have traveled extensively throughout New Mexico and love to share my knowledge with my guests. Of course I know Santa Fe like the back of my hand and delight in giving my guests local tips that make their trip so memorable.

My stay at Viejo Nuevo was the best choice I made in my visit to Santa Fe. The home was immaculate and charming and better than I could have imagined with its amenities and prime location. I was so pleased with the customer service I received from the owner and look forward to returning to this beautiful home soon!

Fantastic house in a great location

  • 5 of 5

We loved Viejo Nuevo. The house itself is a great combination of old Santa Fe adobe design and new contemporary style. The outdoor space is beautiful and very private. Located five blocks from the Plaza, we walked to restaurants, museums and other sites. We will definitely go back again.

Great stay

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I had a really great stay in Viejo Nuevo. We were a little hesitant at first having never stayed in a vacation rental and the house has some funky/contemporary decor- but the pictures don't do it justice. The space was so cute and full of light. I love one of the rugs, I want one for my house. We felt like we had plenty of space and the location was great for first time guests. We were close to some yummy restaurants in the rail district, but close to a couple grocery stores too so we could grab some treats. We will defintely be back to Santa Fe and with Two Casitas.

Stylish Oasis!

  • 5 of 5

We had such a fun and relaxing time staying at Viejo Nuevo!! The decor was incredibly stylish and all the beds and furnishings were very comfortable. The rest of our group were staying in downtown hotels and we couldn't have been happier with our choice to be slightly removed from the bustle of downtown. The yard was a perfect oasis for relaxing mornings or an afternoon time out from a busy day of seeing the sights. The location was fabulous, we could simply stroll into town. We would certainly recommend this unit to others! Thank you for the lovely hospitality.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the great review! Viejo Nuevo has a truly unique and spectacular style, and great care was put into making that a reality. We're happy that you appreciated it. The location in the railyard couldn't be more convenient, and it sounds like you took full advantage of both that and the yard. We hope to see you again in Santa Fe some time soon!

Perfect Accommodations

  • 5 of 5

A great rental in a perfect part of town. Hillside had just about everything we could want for a quiet, romantic week. It's secluded, and right in the middle of town at the same time. We'll definitely be going back next time we're in Santa Fe.

I love it any time of the year.

  • 5 of 5

Hillside is a very unique property. I love the quiet neighborhood, at the end of a Historic Eastside street. I love it that I can walk to La Posada or downtown SF in less than 10 minutes. On Sundays, the only sounds I hear are the wind, the birds and the children playing on the street.

At night during summer and fall, a million stars accompany me in the courtyard with the sound of an occasionally coyote or two crossing the arroyo. In the winter, I can see the snow covered hills to the East. The house is always nice and cozy. At Christmas time, the neighbors line up the street with farolitos and I can walk to Canyon Road to hear carolers and stroll with cheer.

It's always nice to come to Hillside, no matter what season it is!

The interior of the house is small but has everything I need to make my stay enjoyable. The appliances and furniture are high end and modern. Love the contrast of the stone with the overall design.

I love Wendy, Germaine and Two Casitas staff, they do such a great job- they know SF so well. The house is always clean and spotless. And they take care of any issues right away.

Thank you Two Casitas!

Owner's Response: PLEASE NOTE: THE REVIEW ABOVE IS NOT FOR THE VIEJO NUEVO LISTING ITS FOR A DIFFERENT HOUSE: One of the best things about Santa Fe is that you can have a home in such a quiet and peaceful location while still being close to town. Hillside, in particular, is tucked away on a quiet dirt road so it is very easy to feel like you've got your own private world! It sounds like you fully took in the sights and sounds of Santa Fe during your stay at Hillside, and you've been lucky enough to experience Santa Fe's beauty during its distinct seasons. Thank you for commenting on our customer service! We do our best to be a professionally run vacation rental management company, and we always are happy when our guests feel they have been treated well.
