Built in 1893, The Maritime building was recently fully renovated and converted into upscale residences. As the first skyscraper in New Orleans, the building is now on the National Register of Historic Places. During the renovation, traditional elements were preserved, giving this property both old and new charm.

Your condo features an open concept floorplan with large windows which make the space feel open and airy. The light, coffee colored bamboo floors, from the living room to the bedroom, glisten in the windows’ light. The kitchen is stunning, with dark wood cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and granite countertops. It is sure to make meal prep a treat.

This two bedroom, two bath condo offers a king size bed, queen size bed, and queen size pull-out sofa sleeper to comfortably accommodate up to six people. Huge, sliding bamboo walls divide each bedroom from the living room. The master suite features a private bathroom. And the second full bathroom guarantees nobody’s sleep or privacy will be disturbed.

There is plenty of room to spread out and enjoy all the creature comforts of home. You’ll even have a washer and dryer at your disposal. Great Condo. Everything we needed in a home away from home!

We didn't cook much, but the kitchen had everything we needed. The appliances were new and decor updated and modern. The condo looked just like the pictures. The pool was smaller than it looked in the picture, but it was nice. Extra large washer and dryer to use for free by the exercise room was a bonus. The concierge was not at the desk when we arrived around 7pm. We were able to get into the building though. Concierge came in a few minutes after us, buttoning pants and tightening belt. Apologized and said he was running late? Wasn't the best first impression and I understand the staff is not part of Stay Alfred, but honestly it made me a little uncomfortable at first. The young man gave us our room keys without checking my ID or from what I could tell checking my name. He only asked for the room number and I added my name in reply. The staff was great after that night. I will definitely use Stay Alfred in the future.

Just in Time

We stayed in this unit for a quick getaway for the weekend. The unit layout was perfect for two couples. A bed and bath for each couple on opposite ends of the unit for privacy. Reservation, check-in and check out were a breeze. The unit was clean, comfortable and modern. The area around the building was quite during early hours for sleeping (with the exception of Friday morning and we think that was a trash pick up day). No, need for a car, the unit was close to food, markets and fun! Overall a great stay! The group was impressed with the last minute find and happy with the price too! We will be back!

Nice property and great location

I enjoyed our stay and thought the apartment was comfortable and clean. It was nicely decorated and the kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. I did have a problem with the washer/dryer, the all in one unit was hard to use and could not get the dryer to work. The rooms were a nice size and the closets were very big but the doors were odd more like a sliding closet door. It didn't feel like there was much privacy between rooms with this type of door. Over all it was a good experience and I would stay there again, also the door man was very friendly and helpful.

Very clean, affordable, friendly unit

This is a very charming, clean unit with all the amenities of home. It was nice that everything we could have needed was provided. I would love to stay here again.

The only hiccup with our stay was that the sofa bed was broken when we arrived. We were notified of this after check-in, but they told us that there was a blow up mattress in the unit. Things happen sometimes and because of the mattress there were no real problems.

Close to Everything!

If you're interested in doing some sightseeing in the French Quarter, this is the place to stay. Although both the Canal Street and St. Charles streetcars are but a block away, the four of us chose to walk to most everything we were interested in seeing. Bourbon Street, the riverfront, and the National World War II Museum were all within 15 minutes of our apartment. After arriving several hours before checkin, the concierge was kind enough to store our luggage until we could pick up our keys, and directed us to a nearby restaurant (The Red Slipper) and grocery store (Rouse's) to have lunch and pick up supplies. The apartment fulfilled all our needs, which included a large kitchen and two very large bedrooms which attached baths. On mornings when we chose to skip making coffee ourselves, next to the entrance to the apartment building was a great coffee shop. We had a problem with one of the sinks in the bath not draining probably, told the concierge, and by the time we returned home that evening, the situation was resolved. Can't think of anything negative to comment on; had a wonderful 6 nights in The Big Easy!
