Ken and Judy Marlow,
your hosts at the lodge, are year around residents of Alaska since 1965. Ken is originally from Minnesota, Judy from Michigan. Both are now retired school teachers having taught many years in Alaska. Judy is our chief cook, bookkeeper, organizer, assistant guide, and CEO. Ken's Masters degree in environmental education is still put to good use as he enjoys showing people some of our special places, and especially birds and animals of our area. Ken, a US Coast Guard licensed guide, has access to our son Neil's fleet of boats for occasional guided fishing trips, but mostly Ken concentrates his guiding on wildlife viewing trips and bird watching and photography. His favorite areas are on the more remote parts of the Kenai river. He is on the Board of Directors of the Kenai River Watershed Forum.

The Kenai Peninsula is a spectacular area of the state that has a little bit of everything Alaska offers. Mountains, ocean, lakes, rivers; it's all here! The fishing is unmatched and yet we are on the road system with all of the urban amenities on could want.
We LOVE the Kenai River. The river corridor is teeming with life and brings birds, fish and animals right past our doorstep. The seasonal changes are magnificent and we can't think of any place we would rather be. Our stretch of the river is a peaceful stretch of the middle river and relatively underdeveloped. We look across the river to a large unused state parcel with no homes or people. It's like we are in the remote wilderness!
In house guided fishing charters available for King, Sockeye, Silver Salmon, Trophy Rainbow Trout, Steelhead, Halibut, Lingcod, Rockfish and more. Clam Digging gear, waders, fishing poles are all at your disposal. Guided Birdwatching/Wildlife Viewing trips available also. Fish cleaning station, vacuum sealer, and individual chest freezer for each cabin.
