This newly constructed sound front property was completed in May, 2014.
It is located on Via DeLuna, within walking distance of the gulf, shopping, restaurants and bars. There is a small park one block from the house with playground equipment and a basketball court.
This property has something for everyone. The house features 3300 square foot living area, with 6 bedrooms, each of which has a private bath, and an additional half bath.
The main floor includes a large living room and a fully equipped kitchen with an ice maker. The living room and two bedrooms open onto a large elevated deck that faces the sound.
The upper floor features a lounge with a wet bar and refrigerator. The lounge and two of the bedrooms open onto a sundeck facing the sound.
Guest can relax in private pool (which is heated in cool weather), fish or boat from the private pier, or take a 5 minute walk to the beach.
Weddings, receptions and similar events are not allowed.
Just got home and can't stop thinking about the wonderful time we had in this beach home. We will celebrate our 50th anniversary in October and looked, for over a year, for the right place for us, our sons, their wives, and our four teenage grandchildren 2 boys, 2 girls. They were all overwhelmed when we arrived and that feeling remained the entire week. Many good choices were made which made this home extremely attractive and functional. It all worked out so well for us that we didn't want to leave. We took care of it like it was our own, as we are all blessed to have nice homes ourselves. This is a fantastic place to be as, this home, it's location, and nature are the entertainment. Book it and enjoy it .... we most certainly did!
What a wonderful place to gather with 14 of our favorite people! We've jokingly named our group the Sr Citizen Spring Breakers cause the avg age is 62. Beautiful house with an amazing pool. Would like to have seen a bathroom down by the pool and an additional refrigerator maybe in the laundry room. Looking forward to next years trip already. Thank you for your hospitality.
The house met our needs very well. A total of 15 in our family stayed comfortably. There were 5 children ages 1 - 7. The small beach and relatively small pool were ideal for kids in this age range. The dock was good for fishing and gazing at the beautiful water. The playground half a block away was a real plus for our crew. Here are a few suggestions for improvement:
- Since large groups are likely the ones who will stay here, it would be nice to have more large pots, pans and serving dishes. There is only one refrigerator; another one would be good given the large amount of food for big groups.
- The internet access was unreliable - there were often frustrating interruptions of service. Not sure if this was due to the system in the house or the local provider.
This house is great! It is very spacious, warm and inviting. We spent a long weekend with family and had a great time. The property is so large, that you can always find a quiet a spot to your yourself away from everyone else. I especially loved the pier and the second floor patio, which overlooks the sound and has great sunsets. The house is very close to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. All within walking distance. If your are looking for a great vacation spot, this is it! I can't wait to go back!
Our expectations were exceeded with this property. Everything was top notch/first class. The tile flooring, granite countertops (in kitchen and all bathrooms), fireplace, and crown moldings all added to the luxurious ambiance. The kitchen was large and well-planned. Every room had a wall-mounted flat-screen TV, ceiling fan, and private bathroom. Our bedroom (#5) even had a walk-in closet. I especially loved the art work and the lemongrass-scented toiletries. Our house-party included 11: an extended family, with 8 adults and 3 children. There was plenty of space for "together" time as well as "private" time. The view of Pensacola Sound presented calming, blue water, several types of boats, and the house's pier. One day I saw a pelican perched on a piling nearby. Because it was November, with chilly weather, we didn't use the pool, although it is heated and lighted at night. It would be great in summertime because you could sit on the deck's sunny side or its shady side (under an overhang). We were able to easily walk to the beach (on the Gulf side), shops, a family-friendly bar with a live band (Paradise Bar & Grill), and good restaurants (Flounders, Cactus Flower, Hemingway's); all of them were nearby. (We got fresh shrimp at Joe Patti's, in Pensacola.) As grandparents, we delighted in watching our grandson play at a small playground, only three lots away. Although it was windy, we walked on the beach, and I collected seashells. We also visited Fort Pickens. In close proximity, equipment for water sports is available for rental, although we didn't use any. If the opportunity arises, we would gladly make a return visit to this house.
We created a week full of Memories.
With the pool, which changes colors at night and is heated, only steps away from a beach area, my Daughter and Granddaughter were in Heaven. Everyone had their own bedroom and bath and with 4 girls, that worked. The amenities were nothing short of complete. We were within walking distance of Restaurants, Shops and an Adult Beverage Store.. This helped Grand-maw and Me sleep-in while the others went to an Early Breakfast.
My 97 year young Mother-in-law loved not only the deck above the pool view but she really liked the shaded covered pool area. She was never left out of the festivities.
I'm not sure we can beat this stay but we are going to try here again in the spring.
