Lovely four bedroom, three bathroom home a stones throw from downtown Austin

Enjoy an old Austin feel in downtown Austin's backyard. Immaculate home near just about everything Austin has to offer - SXSW, ACL, Formula 1 and COTA shuttle, Austin Film Festival, downtown district, Hike and Bike trail around Lady Bird Lake, Barton Springs, cool coffee houses, the flagship Whole Foods, eclectic shops, and some of Austin's finest restaurants (Clark's Oyster Bar, Jeffrey's, Winflo Osteria, Nightcap and Caffe Medici, just for starters). In the middle of it all, yet on a quiet street in the charming, hip and historic old Austin neighborhood of Clarksville.

The house features high ceilings, plenty of natural light, hardwood floors, a full open kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, two living rooms (both with flat screen TVs and one with a gas fireplace), two dining areas, a two car garage for super convenient parking (we’ll give you a garage door opener to keep in your car), a lovely back patio perfect for sipping coffee, and a utility room with a washing machine and dryer (and plenty of detergent!).

The house comfortably sleeps 8 people; a queen bedroom downstairs, and three bedrooms upstairs - the master, with a king bed (and a master bathroom with a big tub and walk-in shower), a queen bedroom, and a bedroom with two twin beds. The upstairs, split level living room/den has a sectional sofa and throw blankets for lounging and TV watching.

We have a lot of the comforts of home - wireless internet, a whole-house stereo, blow dryers, shampoo and soaps - and, most of all, strive to keep the house uber clean and well stocked with fresh towels and bedding.

We’re very happy, whenever possible, to accommodate early check-in and late check-out, and are available for any and all questions before and during your stay, both by phone and via email.

We are committed to helping our guests avoid potential scams, which are, unfortunately, all too prevalent. About Molly

I’m an almost Austin native (my family moved to Austin when I was six), and have enjoyed the city as a kid, a college student, a small business owner, and a mom.

I’ve lived out of the country for six years - time that I loved - but also time that gave me a new-found appreciation for this great town.

I have family living around the US and have enjoyed being a Homeaway guest over the last few years. I’ve made some wonderful friendships and now feel fortunate to have several “home away from homes” around the country.

I look forward to creating relationships and that feeling of home for our guests in Clarksville, in my own backyard.

Absolutely outstanding all around

From the thoughtful and meticulous pre-arrangements that Molly provided to make arrival as smooth as possible, to the effortless and flexible checkout, our stay at this beautiful home in a residential area near downtown Austin was fabulous, comfortable and memorable.

The home is beautifully maintained, well appointed, spacious (8 of us were literally floating around in it), well stocked with a wide array of amenities, large comfortable rooms and bathrooms, a mezzanine floor with a cozy window seat with a nice view of fall in the front garden, a nice shaded wooded backyard with chirping birds, and delightful art work all around the house.

As nicely appointed as the house is, even better was how hospitable, friendly and welcoming our host, Molly was, going out of her way to make us feel at home and well taken care of.

Very comfortable, clean with plenty of space, close to downtown

Clean and Comfortable
