About the property

Welcome to our Boat House

Come and experience living above the water in our Boat House on the Sakonnet River. Gourmet kitchen, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath (Sleeps 6).

My husband and I have a love for Sustainably Renovating & Restoring forgotten homes around the world. Recently we have settled in our gorgeous little new find 'Tiverton Rhode Island'!

Words cannot describe our love for this "Boat House"

When we found this forgotten home - it was half in the water. Yes thats right, it had been left for dead and we couldn't have that. After a year and a half later of blood, sweat and tears this became the perfect meeting place for our family. With more than a handful of our most precious family memories made there.

Now our Boat House has been a special place for our guests and their families! Newly rennovated with the highest quality Chefs Appliances it is perfect to grab some fresh seafood just up the road and cook it either inside on your 36" Viking gas stove or out on the fire pit and or Gas Grill. Grab the kayaks provided and head out from your own small beach/waterfront access for a kayak and or a swim or grab some rods and bait from the shop up the road and catch some Striped Bass out the front of the cottage. Or walk to a few of our favorite restaurants right from the cottage. Spectacular views from almost every room.

Our Cottage includes all Luxury pressed bedding, linens and amenities as well as a fully stocked pantry. All you need to bring are some food and clothing :) **Also ask for our Moore House experience RI like a local list** we have a great list compiled of all of our favorite things Rhode Island has to offer and why our town of Tiverton RI the best and most convenient place to see everything Rhode Island has to offer.

By renting 'The Boathouse' you are helping to Restore forgotten homes & helping us save historic properties around Coastal Rhode Island.

The Boat House was everything we thought it would be and more! Sharon and family left so many extra special touches-everything was perfect! My friends and I checked out yesterday and are already planning our getaway for next year. Amazing

  • 5 of 5

If you have a chance to stay here, and pass it by- shame on you! :) The boathouse is right on the water, with the main room windows looking out over the water. Aside from a spectacular view, the cottage is very clean and has just about everything you might think you need, and Sharon is very generous, in her hostess duties, to say the least. If we come back this way again, this will definitely be the first place I look at for availability! Sabrena Dixon

Heaven on earth!

  • 5 of 5

This property is absolutely fabulous! I stayed at Cottage 29 in June, and loved it so much that I bragged to my family and friends incessantly! My mom was a little jealous, and said, “I wanna go, too!” So, two months later, we were back in RI, this time, at the Boat House.

OMG!!! The house was gorgeous! The pictures just don't do these homes justice! My mom, niece and I had our own rooms, with THE most comfortable beds! The sheets were heaven!

The décor of the home is unparalleled. Sharon & family take care of every detail, and provide the most welcoming environment. My mom was just amazed! She said, with dreamy eyes and the OMG look, "this is just nice..." Fresh fruit and cheese, and a fridge stocked with the necessities for breakfast: bacon, bread, eggs, fresh milk and cream, all made for awesome mornings. We went to Tom's Market right down the street. They have the best groceries! If you want to grill, you must get your steaks from Tom's! We bought fresh steaks and veggies, and ate in on Friday night, and it was awesome!

The restroom was immaculate and stocked with everything you need, should you forget to bring something. The shower was divine! I didn't want to come out. :-)

Lastly, the neighborhood. If you want peace and quiet, and neighbors that are so nice and friendly, this is your place. No Gladys Kravitz's here :-); however, the neighbors didn't hesitate to come over and talk with us, giving us a history lesson or two, and a pleasant welcoming smile. It was so nice to be able to relax without the sounds of sirens and rush hour traffic of DC...so, so nice.

Bottom line: you will not regret staying here. I'm already planning my next trip. I always leave refreshed and rejuvenated! Thank you, Sharon, for making our "3 Generations" retreat so wonderful!

P.S. The fresh rosemary (shown in the picture) is amazing!

Spectacular revitalizing time away

  • 5 of 5

Loved everything about our stay from the crashing waves brought on by Jose, the welcoming amenities (palette of fruits and brie, a fridge stocked with bacon, eggs and a pitcher of apple cider, a kitchen stocked with all kinds of cooking necessities.) Everything, including our bath towels, felt deliciously pampering. Most of all we loved the view as we literally sat above the Sakonnet River. Our host Sharon was immediately responsive to any question we might have about The Boat House and Tiverton and the surrounding areas.

Lovely!

  • 5 of 5

The Boat House was a lovely cottage with a beautiful view. The owners had done an amazing job with the decorating. The also left us with some fabulous farm fresh eggs, bacon and milk. So, we made use of the Viking stove to cook breakfast. The location central to many things and we made trips to Tiverton Four Corners, beautiful Little Compton and Westport. I enjoyed every restaurant in the area. I look forward to visiting some of the other Moore properties.
