Callisto's Cottage, a three bedroom Breckenridge vacation rental, sleeps a maximum of six adults (up to eight with kids).
This side-gabled three bedroom vacation rental in downtown Breckenridge, Colorado was built in 1882 and has been used as a rental property since 1887. In the 1950's, the one-room home was slightly expanded and by the 1970's included a second story. The gorgeously renovated vacation home was then remodeled between 2010-2011.
First off, this beautiful cottage is named Callisto for a reason! Callisto is another name for the well-known Big Dipper constellation. This will become apparent while looking up at the stars that shine bright in the clear, quiet night in this alpine environment. The convenience and charm of Callisto's Cottage is unbeatable! Being located only 1.5 blocks from Main Street this cottage provides access to a free ski shuttle, Breckenridge's finest restaurants, historic museums, shopping, and one of the most pronounced overlooks in town.
Upon entering the beautiful home, you notice the original 1882 structure: an open concept living room with a flat screen television, Blueray, and views of the slopes. From the open-concept living room to the dining room, each room is bathed in sunlight from the charming historic windows on every wall and the gas pot-bellied stove adds to the cozy ambiance the home has to offer. The kitchen with views of the mountain slopes is modern and supplied with stainless steel appliances.
The charming master bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, large closet, and en-suite bathroom. Walking through the home, the warmth from the sun fills the second bedroom which is furnished with a full bed and an adjacent bathroom. The second floor was renovated into a charming master suite furnished with a queen bed, flat screen television, Xbox, and games/books for the family. The upstairs bedroom comes with the added bonus of an adjacent couch (sleeper) and a sitting area where you can kick back and admire the views. The home also includes a private 6-person hot tub nestled between buildings for a private setting.
Working while on vacation? Don't worry, we have you covered. Free WiFi and a work desk is included for your convenience. But remember, in this prime location make sure you get out and see what this historic mining town has to offer!
Please keep in mind that you will be entering a high alpine environment in Breckenridge and as we do not require 4WD vehicles, they are strongly recommended.

We had a wonderful Easter weekend. The perfect location for our family! Close to town and the park! Thank you for sharing your home.
Aside from the location being superb -- 2 block from everything, and away from heavy traffic--the cottage is perfect for our party of four adults. We anticipate the comfort of this stay every year, and it never disappoints. The amenities are exceptional, staples are perfect and kitchen is well-stocked. On-site hot tub is a perfect way to end a day of the slopes. Even if we did not stay at the Cottage, we would absolutely use BookBreck for our accommodations. They are the very best in rental agency in Breckenridge. We have stayed at many Breck rentals using BookBreck. Each has exceeded our expectations and BookBreck has matched the accommodations with exceptional customer service. Such a pleasure. Thank you!
Great location to town and slopes. This home was very comfortable for our family of 6 adults. Owners thought of every little detail. Electric fire place, hot tub and well equipped kitchen made our family vacation relaxing and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this home.
Spacious, updated home. Perfect location. Huge nice hot tub. Electric fireplace that immediately warms the place. New appliances. Quiet spot that's just 2 blocks from downtown. Walked to the sledding hill and the gondolas. Six minute walk to grocery store and ice sculptures. Loved this cozy place.
We were impressed with the location of this house and how it overlooked the Arts District. The house was clean and well-stocked on checkin. The Nordic Center was a short drive away. Between the hot tub, board games and downtown activities we had plenty to keep us busy during our stay.
We always stay here when we come to Breckenridge!
You cannot find a better location -- only a block and a half from the center of Main Street. You're so close to the action that you're inside the action. We've sat on the front porch and watched the start of mountain bike races right in front of us, and we've sat in the living room at night and watched festivals at the Arts District which is only about 100 steps away. There's also a great restaurant across the street and the ski bus stop is only 1 house away.
The feel of the house is very cozy (it's on the historic register), and it's been recently renovated so it still feels very modern and well taken care of. The hot tub and sleds in the winter and the fire pit in the summer are a big bonus!
We love this place. It feels like you're in your own home. We highly recommend it to anyone coming to Breckenridge.
The house fit the 6 in our group perfectly. We enjoyed the hottub every evening and the warm fire in the mornings.
It's 2 blocks from the main street so it's perfect to walk to restaurants/bars and it's about a 10 min walk to the park with the big sledding hill. So fun!!! The house is very organized and the detailed binder will answer all your questions. I would highly recommend!!
