My name is Cindy - I grew up in Chicago and loved it... but got the bug to come to Colorado 15 years ago. Haven't looked back since! My family loves skiing, snowshoeing, hiking 14ers, camping, enjoying the great outdoors... but mostly travelling!. Our recent trips were Thailand and Alaska - which were absolutely spectacular! Next on the agenda - Yellowstone and Grand Tetons, Chicago, and possibly Portugal! :)
Cindy purchased this apartment in 2011
We purchased this building a few years ago because we missed the fun of owning a rental property. Twelve units, great tenants, a cool 100 year old building in a hopping neighborhood - we are really enjoying it. We have been renovating the apartments one by one - and each unit is quirky, different and unique. We also have onsite free parking - a real amenity in the city! We hope you enjoy staying at the apartment as much as we enjoying managing it!
Great great great location. And isn't location everything!? Close to so many fun things to do -- the zoo, the Botanic Gardens, downtown, the US Mint and the Art Museum are all within a short bus ride or walk. A little further on, you'll find the iconic Red Rocks Ampitheater, Golden, and the great mountain town of Evergreen with its ice skating lake and quaint downtown. Then there's skiing in the mountains, Rocky Mountain National Park, the Continental Divide Trail, Colorado Springs, The Garden of the Gods, Fort Collins - all are about a 90 minute drive.
The apartment was clean, quiet, near restaurants and bars, and easily accessible by public transportation. The small kitchen managed to have everything I needed. The hosts were responsive and thorough with their instructions. I would definitely stay here again.
Our clean and tidy space here reminded us so much of staying in a European flat. Everything we needed was available. We received very clear directions regarding entering the building and parking. It was fun to be able to walk to Tattered Cover. Being older, we did not take advantage of the nearby bars but imagine for millennials the location would prove very satisfying.
Cindy's apartment was just right for my brief stay. The location makes it easy to use public transit, and there are some great restaurants within walking distance. Cindy was quite responsive when I had questions.
Overall this was a great location. There was a Spring snow storm and being from the South, I didn't want to drive my rental the first day. There were more than a few places close enough for me to walk to for a coffee, breakfast and dinner. I enjoyed my stay so much. This place is close to everything you'd need and only a few mins from museums and great restaurants. A few things that were minor but I feel need to be noted are, if you've been traveling for several hours and lacking sleep (or even if not) the apt. is a little hard to locate, the front door is a bit tricky to find. Just a few extra details in the check in email would help. Also, there were no blinds on the kitchen Windows so the ladies (who are super nice and were wonderful to help me when I arrived) across the hall can see you going in and out of the bathroom because there is no vent and you need to leave the door open when showering. It's also sort of tight in there and just easier to dress in the main room. I'm sort of private and blinds would be appropriate on both kitchen windows; the one facing the other apt and the one facing the street. A few of the teas were expired which was disappointing because I was looking forward to trying a few of those. The things I mentioned would be easy to address and otherwise this is a nice place to rest your head and see the city :)
This cute studio was perfect for 2 weekend in Denver for the Crossroads qualifier. Having a kitchen and quiet place to sleep only 2 miles from The convention center was great! Cindy was very accommodating. Thanks for 2 awesome weekends!
Our stay in this little apartment was perfect! We were within walking distance to everything and the book that was provided had a lot of excellent information for us! I would recommend this little apartment!
