Our townhome has just been professionally renovated - fully freshly painted, new carpet, new patio. Our master bedroom boasts a King bed, large walk in closet, ensuite bath, and patio door to enjoy the Spring breezes. 2nd and 3rd Bedrooms both offer Queen beds. 2nd floor Tech Center for those who either need to work or enjoy a quiet space for web surfing. About Rob & Barbara Byrnes

Rob and Barbara reside in Gilbert, AZ and after purchasing and refurbishing 'Winter/Spring - AZ Style', decided to offer it to others as a retreat from the cold months of winter. Prior to moving to AZ, we vacationed in AZ at least once per year, so have stayed in a variety of places. We wanted to offer a comfortable, reasonable accommodation for those 'escaping' the winter in colder climates.

Clean, spacious, a little minimalistic, pleasant

The home is spacious, clean, and secure. All appliances worked and were clean. My only "disappointment" and reason for not giving it 5 stars is that I have stayed in many Home Away's and Air BnB's and most have more necessities. For instance, there was salt, no pepper. Coffee filters, but not even one morning's worth of coffee. No condiments in the fridge so we had to buy simple things like ketchup, mustard, hot sauce, creamer and sugar for coffee, etc. Also there were no extra trash bags, no extra dishwasher cleaner pods, very little dish soap, no sponge for hand washing dishes and wiping countertops, one load's worth of laundry detergent left in bottle, one full roll of TP per bathroom, plus whatever was left on the spool, which we went through pretty quickly ..... that kind of stuff. We had to buy everything, which definitely runs the tab up, and since we only stayed a little over a week, we needed stuff like that but only used a fraction of it all. Normally I would have just left the extras in the home, but I felt like since I found the place with almost nothing in it, I opted to give it to my cousin who lives nearby.

Also, the TV in the living room is VERY small..... too small to even read any words on the screen from the couch. Should be upgraded to a bigger screen for sure.

Okay enough complaining.... there were plenty of positives..... The electric fireplace is a nice touch and cozy. The layout is nice and open in the downstairs, and private in the upstairs 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The washer and dryer work well and the washer is a top loader but with no spindle which is much easier on clothes. Host left us enough sheets and towels. The outside "yard" is simple but comfy once you put the cushions on the chairs. There is no grass in the yard area, but there is just outside the gate. (The gate lock is very tricky, however). The kitchen is well appointed as far as utensils, pots, pans, bowls, etc go. The knives need sharpening BADLY. Really. We bought a knife when we were there because we literally could barely cut anything with most of them. The garage is spacious and very tidy. The neighbors are friendly :). The furniture was nice and comfy and matching. The beds were also comfy and we had plenty of blankets. The air con/heater worked very well the few times we used it. A solid 4 stars. Sharpen the knives and leave a few more "essentials" and I'd give it 5 stars.

Owner's Response: Hi Christy! Thank you for the review! We appreciate your candidness as we don't stay there, and would not know the knives need sharpening. They will be as soon as we can get in there! Not sure what happened with the salt and pepper (normally there's a canister (?) of salt and a regular sized black pepper), nor the other "necessities". We provide 2 rolls and plus in each bath, Kleenex, hand soap, small amount of shampoo and body wash, a buff puff. Full roll of paper towels, 2 garbage bags for each waste basket, 2 pods for the dishwasher, dish soap, scrubbies and/or sponges. a couple loads worth of laundry soap and dryer sheets. Toilet tank disks to help keep the toilet disinfected. These are our standard supplies, based on the feedback we've received and our experience. We've actually received comments that leaving the condiments in the refrigerator was not appreciated, and our experience is if not cleaned out, the bottles of ketchup really stacks up, etc. Additionally, we've received compliments on the supplies that we do provide. All this said, please book with us for your next Valley vacation, and you'll receive not only the "Returning Guest Discount" but a supply of the items that you mentioned will be stocked. We work very hard to ensure our guests are happy with our properties and are reassured that you enjoyed the Townhome as a whole. Excellent property, dandy location

The condo was exactly as advertised, with lots of thoughtful amenities. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, and the decor was attractive. The location made it easy to go downtown, hit the Tempe Marketplace, or hit the freeways to Phoenix, the airport, or the Apache Trail. It was all good, and Barbara and Rob were good hosts (although we didn't see them!)

Great location. Easy to get to from either airport. Most attractions are within a 40 minute drive. Grocery store and gas station nearby. Several outstanding restaurants within a few minutes drive. Everything was in the townhouse as far as soaps, paper products etc. Rob and Barb were very easy to deal with. Rob checked the first day we were there to make sure everything was in order. Rob was just a phone call away if we had any questions. Loved the patio with the grill. Very enjoyable stay. We would recommend without reservations.
