A group of 7 of us stayed at this location for a bachelor weekend and had a great time. The house was kept in fantastic shape and the backyard was a great addition for some afternoon grilling. The house is conveniently located between both the beaches (Sullivan's Island, Isle of Palms, etc and also downtown Charleston making it very easy to get around. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend in the nearby Charleston area.
We needed to find a large enough house for a few couples to stay in, during a weekend wedding in Charleston. While the house was not walking distance to downtown, it was only a 7 minute drive to all the excitement on King Street. The house was very open and spacious and it was the perfect size for friends getting together for a weekend.
This house was the perfect size and layout for our wedding party to stay during our wedding weekend in Charleston!
Everything in the house including the bedding and towels were very clean. We had no issues at all. The house was even better than described on the websites description! We were able to bring our yellow lab and he had plenty enough room both inside and outside in the backyard to run around and play!
The house was in close proximity to bars and restaurants in Mount Pleasant and was just a short Uber ride away from downtown Charleston.
Dave, the owner of the house, was so accommodating. He allowed us to have an early check-in as well as a late checkout since there were no reservations immediately before or after ours. He was immediately available via cell phone to answer any questions we had.
I would recommend this house to anyone looking to rent for a large group!!
THE HOUSE ON NIGHT HERON IS NICELY LOCATED AND ROOMY
BUT PLEASE PUT SOME CURTAINS ON THE WINDOWS. THE ONES THERE DO NOT EVEN COVER THE WINDOWS . THE FAMILY ROOM IN THE BACK NEEDS CURTAINS FOR THE AFTERNOON SUN .
ALSO PLEASE CHECK THE LINENS. SOME ARE STAINED AND THEY SEEM OLD AND USED ENOUGH.
Loved the house and location. Close to the beach, close to downtown. House was spacious, clean and in a nice little neighborhood. Had everything my family needed for a spectacular weekend!!!
The property was exactly as shown online and as I expected. We rented the house for my daughter's graduation from College of Charleston and needed a place large enough to accommodate 8 people. The house was large enough for everyone to be comfortable and not feel crowded. The house is located in a beautiful little neighborhood that is very quiet and fairly secluded. It's in the Shem Creek area which is great for fresh seafood and just a few minutes drive to downtown. The fenced back yard was a plus as we had 2 little dogs and it was nice to be able to let them "roam" a few minutes without having to worry about them wandering off. Jasmine and Privet were in full bloom and it was a pleasure to walk around the block with the fragrant smell.
We did have a couple of issues and the only reason I want to mention them is because of they way they were handled. Upon arrival, the door code would not work. I called Dave (the property manager) and within 15 minutes he had remotely changed the code to a new one and we were able to enter. The second issue was the air conditioning. Upon entering the house we discovered the AC unit would not come on. Once again I called Dave and he immediately called a service tech in the area. (Since it was early May, the temperature was not that bad. The house has an attic fan so we opened a few windows in each area of the house and turned on the attic fan. Man does it pull in the air! That was a good "temp" fix while we waited on the repair tech). The service tech arrived within an hour and had the AC working not long afterwards - clogged drain line. As I said, the only reason I want to mention these two issues is because of the WAY they were handled. Dave was VERY quick to resolve both problems and was VERY professional in his manner. Let's face it, things happen. And it's not always because someone did anything wrong or dropped the ball. Stuff just happens. What separates great companies from average companies is HOW they handle problems. Dave was the perfect example of how to handle things. He was quick to respond to my call in each situation and was just as quick to take action. He did not pass the buck and did not make me feel like it was somehow my fault (as is the case so many times). Because of his professionalism and because the property IS a great choice, I would not hesitate to stay there again. Were it not for the issues I would give it 5 stars.
