About Two Casitas, Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, Wendy Kapp

A note from Wendy Kapp- Owner of Two Casitas Santa Fe Vacation Rentals

Having been raised in Chicago, my soul longed for the massive blue skies and mountains I first saw when my mother, well-known watercolor artist Phyllis Kapp of Waxlander Gallery, introduced me to this magnificent area when I was 6 years old.

While returning west in 1975, I came through Santa Fe and fell in love with Northern New Mexico once again. I found the people here, especially back in '75, to be the most authentic people I had ever met and I decided to make Santa Fe my home. My extensive knowledge from living here for since 1975 makes me the perfect, local hostess to give you tips on making your stay memorable. I hope you come to love Santa Fe and, in-turn Two Casitas, as much as I do.

Two Casitas, Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, Wendy Kapp purchased this house in 2013

Why Two Casitas, Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, Wendy Kapp chose Santa Fe

I love the thick adobe walls and the incredible location of the home. I helped the owners determine what would be a great investment and second home property for them.

Location, location, location is why I chose these homes for our visitors. We want our guests to have the convenience of walking everywhere.

What makes this house unique

When you stay with Two Casitas you stay like a local, not like a tourist, and experience Santa Fe like you live here. Who knows, maybe you will someday!

Great Location and beautiful atmosphere

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time using VRBO, so we weren't sure if it would easy. Two Casitas made our trip a breeze. It's right near downtown, so we walked 98% of the time. The other 2% was across town. Great food, drinks and shopping is less than a block away. It has the atmosphere I wanted "cozy Sante Fe". We had all the amenities we needed, the patio and living room are dreamy. There are plenty

of places to stay at but this condo was perfect for us. We saw people trying to get on vans, as we walked home in a few minutes. We would highly recommend this to anyone that wants downtown close with cozy feeling.

Great location, great little casita!

  • 5 of 5

The location of this quaint casita was ideal for our family (two adults and a 1 yr old). It's within walking distance (a couple of blocks) from the plaza, tons of restaurants and shopping which makes it ideal for a quick stop by the house for resting in between a full day's outing. In addition, it's a 10 minute walk to the Santa Fe Railyard and park where we ventured to enjoy the farmer's market. The fact that you can walk to access many of Santa Fe's attractions was a great amenity as it took the worry and headache out of parking which can be a challenge in the downtown area. The casita itself was clean, comfortable and had unique Santa Fe charm. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back!

Historic 1880 casita 4 blocks to downtown

  • 5 of 5

Idyllic cozy casita 4 minute walk to downtown. I like the old adobe walls (several feet thick), kiva beam ceilings, and especially the nice private, sunny patio outside with iron gate by a local artist. In the mornings we awoke from the king size bed with a view of the bright patio and big cottonwood tree beyond. The décor is just right, a touch of the Southwest/native American/old Mexico. We stumbled literally across the across the street to Vanessie’s for the live piano bar music (every night), a favorite. All the best restaurants are like a 5-10 minute walk away (Il piatto, the Palace, Mamou, etc.). We walked everywhere, never moved our car.

Really beautiful condo

  • 5 of 5

This condo has everything you would want, and then some. If you look at the photos on their website (two casitas) the photos do not do this condo justice.

This is our second stay and there will definitely be a third stay.
