About Wendy Kapp

A note from Wendy Kapp- Owner of Two Casitas Santa Fe Vacation Rentals

Having been raised in Chicago, my soul longed for the massive blue skies and mountains I first saw when my mother, well-known watercolor artist Phyllis Kapp of Waxlander Gallery, introduced me to this magnificent area when I was 6 years old.

While returning west in 1975, I came through Santa Fe and fell in love with Northern New Mexico once again. I found the people here, especially back in '75, to be the most authentic people I had ever met and I decided to make Santa Fe my home. My extensive knowledge from living here for since 1975 makes me the perfect, local hostess to give you tips on making your stay memorable. I hope you come to love Santa Fe and, in-turn Two Casitas, as much as I do.

What makes this house unique

When you stay with Two Casitas you stay like a local, not like a tourist, and experience Santa Fe like you live here. Who knows, maybe you will someday!

Welcome to Two Casitas, Santa Fe Vacation Rentals

The age old adage, location, location, location applies to our vacation rentals. Only Two Casitas offers such a selection of exquisite Santa Fe lodging possibilities.

Our 30 unique homes are located in Santa Fe's finest neighborhoods, only blocks away from The Plaza, our town’s historic center. Nearby are Canyon Road’s world-class galleries and restaurants; a short walk takes you to the newly modernized Rail Yard historic district.

Two Casitas’ vacation homes are tucked away in the city's most tranquil residential streets, yet strategically situated so you can experience our beautiful city on foot.

We offer everything from cozy romantic studios perfect for romantic getaways, to one, two and three bedroom homes and many of our homes are pet friendly. Each home is thoughtfully decorated by the individual owners, with emphasis given to historic design themes, local materials and artisans, yet fully equipped with every modern comfort.

Step across the threshold of your Two Casitas vacation rental and you’ll know you’re not in Kansas anymore---or New York, or Chicago, or Seattle. Santa Fe's distinctive adobe buildings and architecture evoke the city’s history as a confluence of Spanish and Native American cultures. Two Casitas promises our guests an authentic Southwest experience.

Whether you are looking for a century-old adobe home or a contemporary Santa Fe Style home, Two Casitas is sure to have something that will suit your taste. Santa Fe itself offers a unique and enchanting experience rich with breathtaking vistas, award-winning cuisine, phenomenal dining, art, and shopping, excellent museums, and a cultural heritage unlike any other in the United States.

Comfortable retreat with short walk to downtown

  • 5 of 5

My friend and I spent four nights here and loved it. It is very close to downtown (15 min walk) and if that's the only place you plan to be then you have no real need to rent a car. But if you're a first time visitor and would like to see the sights,a car rental is necessary.

The place was quiet, clean, and very comfortable. There's also a gas grill outside which we made use of one night. A washer/dryer is also convenient for longer stays. Our only wish was that there were wine glasses, since we're wine lovers.

However the hosts were very helpful and responsive. I highly recommend this casita and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the wonderful review! Yes, you can certainly spend a lot of time on foot in Santa Fe, but we always encourage our guests to check out the rest of our city, and to venture further into New Mexico. We will tell the owners about the wine glasses! We should definitely have those. We hope Two Casitas will host your next trip to Santa Fe.

Comfortable, cozy casita

  • 4 of 5

Our casita was very cozy and comfortable, and close enough for us to walk downtown (but far enough for us to convince ourselves that we were burning off all the calories we ate!). The owners/mgmt. company left us a lovely welcome gift of organic chips, salsa and wine! And they were extremely communicative, sending emails/texts before and during our stay to make sure everything was as expected. At first, we were like "oh, that's really nice of them." Then it became slightly annoying, especially when one text suggested that if we wrote a 5-star review before we left, they'd "gift" us with a chile ristra to take home. That left a bad taste in my mouth. But I wanted to be considerate, so when we finally had a break in all our activities, I responded to their multiple texts by telling them we were greatly enjoying the casita, but wanted them to be aware of two minor maintenance issues. After that, they went radio silent and I never heard another word from them. Bizarre.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review. I am so sorry that you had a negative experience with our customer service. I just went to your reservation to look at our text conversation, and I did report the maintenance issues to our staff, but I suppose I forgot to respond to your text message. We take great pride in being communicative with our guests, and it is very unfortunate when these slip-ups occur. We're glad that your trip was pleasant overall, and we hope that you will rest assured that your communications were heard and your feedback is taken to heart.

Charming, comfortable casita

  • 5 of 5

What a pleasant stay in Santa Fe!! We fell in love with this city and her people. Everywhere we went, everyone was so friendly and helpful. We chose Santa Fe as home port so we could attend the Balloon Festival in Albuquerque. An easy drive to a fantastic event. Also visited Taos and walked across the Rio Grande Gorge. But Santa Fe....... The vacation home was perfect for two couples. Large rooms that were outfitted beautifully and very comfortable. The location was in the middle of everything and made navigating the city very easy. Have recommended this casita to several friends. Our Santa Fe visit has wonderful memories. Thank you so much.

Owner's Response: We are so happy you enjoyed the home and all that it offers. Sorry you didn't see the wine glasses as they are kept in that high cabinet, we will move them down closer for reaching. It is a great space for relaxing as well as accessing all that Santa Fe has to offer as all of our homes at Two Casitas are.
