Historic Eastside House Rental Photos and Description

Sleeps: 4 Bedrooms: 1 Bathrooms: 1

This luxurious, one bedroom apartment is set apart from all others as it is the only one of its kind right on the world famous Santa Fe Plaza. Built in the late 1800's, this upstairs apartment is freshly remodeled and decorated and steeped in Santa Fe history. Walk out the door to the shops, restaurants and merchants on The Plaza…or even Indian Market or Spanish Market if you hit the date just right. The historic La Fonda Hotel is directly across the street and the renown St. Francis Cathedral is a few steps away from the front door.

You will find yourself immersed in the unique culture of Santa Fe as you reside in this treasured location. It offers approximately 800 square feet of classic New Mexico style. The bedroom has a King bed, closet, flat screen television, dresser and cozy reading chair. The kitchen is stocked with a stainless steel refrigerator and freezer with an ice maker, a stove, dishwasher and large toaster oven. It conveniently offers dishes, pots, pans, coffee maker and…don’t forget the blender, pitcher and glasses for Margaritas and Sangria!

The professional interior design of the home plays off of our magnificent turquoise blue skies here in New Mexico. You will be surrounded with precious artifacts of the area as well as award winning original pieces of art work, which serve to add to the ambience of your stay.

The living room with its large picture windows looks right out to The Plaza, La Fonda and St. Francis Cathedral! It is complete with a lovely leather sleeper sofa, reading chair, dining table and seating for guests. A gorgeous but decorative only (not wood burning) kiva fireplace adds to the ambience. The living room also provides a second flat screen television with multiple channels and Wi-Fi for your convenience.

The bathroom is equipped with a travertine stone shower, vessel sink, toilet and ample counter/storage space for a comfortable stay. This is a perfect location for any time of year…whether you plan to join the summer festivities of cultural markets and The Santa Fe Opera, or want to snow ski/board at the Santa Fe Ski Basin or Taos in the winter. The Fall and Spring are just as delightful to enjoy the fine dining, shopping, art galleries, multiple outdoor activities (mountain biking, hiking, fly fishing, etc) and special festivities such as the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta.

Parking is available at the La Fonda Hotel right across the street for $15 a night.

About Two Casitas, Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, Wendy Kapp

A note from Wendy Kapp- Owner of Two Casitas Santa Fe Vacation Rentals

Having been raised in Chicago, my soul longed for the massive blue skies and mountains I first saw when my mother, well-known watercolor artist Phyllis Kapp of Waxlander Gallery, introduced me to this magnificent area when I was 6 years old.

While returning west in 1975, I came through Santa Fe and fell in love with Northern New Mexico once again. I found the people here, especially back in '75, to be the most authentic people I had ever met and I decided to make Santa Fe my home. My extensive knowledge from living here for since 1975 makes me the perfect, local hostess to give you tips on making your stay memorable. I hope you come to love Santa Fe and, in-turn Two Casitas, as much as I do.

Why Two Casitas, Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, Wendy Kapp chose Santa Fe

Location, location, location is why I chose these homes for our visitors. We want our guests to have the convenience of walking everywhere.

What makes this house unique

When you stay with Two Casitas you stay like a local, not like a tourist, and experience Santa Fe like you live here. Who knows, maybe you will someday!

This is the most comfortable, small apartment located perfectly for us to meander around the plaza! It's warm, cozy and totally tastefully! There are modern conveniences such as wifi, flat screen TV's and updated bathroom. We'll be back!

A wonderful place to stay in a delightful city!

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. Two Casitas is centrally located and an easy walking distance to museums, shopping, restaurants, and historic sites. The casita is charmingly decorated in the Santa Fe style and we felt very at home there. I am recommending a trip to Santa Fe and a stay at Two Casitas to all my friends.

Great Location!

  • 4 of 5

A great place to stay that allows you to walk virtually everywhere, shopping, restaurants, churches and museums, we did it all! The apartment was perfect for a couple and maybe two children. The place was clean and furnished comfortably. The only downside was the street noise from small cars with loud mufflers and the same for the motorcycles. It does quiet down around 10 pm. The bedroom door does close off most of the noise if you go to sleep earlier. We would definitely stay here again.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review! We apologize that the street noise bothered you. We don't often get complaints, however being right on The Plaza always has the potential to be a bit noisy. The trade off is the great location, and it sounds like you took full advantage of everything that staying in Downtown Santa Fe has to offer! We hope to see you again in Santa Fe some time soon.

Wonderful location on Plaza

  • 5 of 5

A little peace of heaven right in the middle of all the downtown Plaza action and restaurants. We walked out our door to the Plaza and listened to free music every night. So fun to be able to experience Santa Fe at the best location!

The new king size bed and beautiful art throughout the

Plaza Casita makes this place the perfect place to stay.

Perfect Location in a Perfect City

  • 5 of 5

Celebrating our 15th anniversary in our honeymoon city of Santa Fe, we couldn't be happier with our casita! First of all, the location is perfect..just steps from the Plaza. The unit itself is large and well-furnished. We love opening the windows for fresh air and the sounds from the street. Restaurants, bars, shopping and live music are all right here without moving the car. We are very pleased!
