About Wendy Kapp
Having been raised in Chicago, My soul longed for the massive blue skies and mountains that I first saw when my Mother famous water color artist of Waxlander Gallery first introduced me to the magnificent area when I was only 6 years old. When traveling out west again back in 1975 I came through Santa Fe and fell in love with Northern New Mexico incredible sky's and landscape. I found the people here especially back in '75 to be the most authentic people I had ever met and I decided to make Santa Fe my home. My extensive knowledge from living here for 34 years makes me the perfect local hostess to give you tips on making your stay most memorable.
Why Wendy Kapp chose Historic Eastside
Location, location, location is why I chose these homes for our visitors. We want our guests to have the convenience of walking everywhere.

Comfy quiet casita, 10-15 min walk to plaza
Very well maintained, comfortable and clean casita that is short (10-15 min) walk to the plaza. Bed was super comfortable, and materials / fixtures throughout of very nice quality. There is a small outside sitting area that catches southern sun. The fireplace is not close to the sitting area (and doesn't look like it is used much). Overall, we were very pleased with our stay.
Thank you for staying with us Christine. It was a pleasure having you in Santa Fe!
The location is perfect. QUIET, comfy bed and pillows. Good water pressure and comes with parking. We were delighted with this cozy place - perfect for a couple. Upon our arrival there was snacks and wine at the ready, bathroom did contain soap and shampoo/conditioner, there was even coffee ground in the frig. In addition, the service support was great. They checked in with us regarding our check in and our stay. We would highly recommend this lovely casita.
Thank you for the great review! Two Casitas works hard to ensure your visit is above and beyond expectations. The location of this home is indeed perfect, close to everything and totally quiet like you said.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Very clean, comfortable, quiet, and in a great location. Close to everything!
Thank you for the review! We hope to see you in Santa Fe again some time soon!
Charming little place close to everything
This is our first time this Santa Fe and we loved it. This casita was the perfect place for a romantic getaway. The kitchen and bathroom are up to date and the bed is very comfortable with nice pillows as well. The back patio is great for a nice romantic dinner. Overall we loved this place and the Two Casitas team were great they had a nice bottle of wine waiting for our arrival. Thanks again!!
Thank you for the review and for choosing Two Casitas for your first trip to Santa Fe! It sounds like you picked a great rental for feeling comfortable in your home away from home! We hope to see you in Santa Fe again some time soon!
Terrific quiet place to stay close to the Plaza
I stayed in Carmel for four nights. It is perfect for someone who wants to be in walking distance of the Plaza (10 minutes) and close to Canyon Road (2 minutes). Carmel is one of a cluster of residences set well back from East Palace Road and thus is very quiet.
Carmel is very well constructed and the kitchen is fantastic...everything you could want. The bed was very comfortable, the bedroom spacious (particularly for Santa Fe), and the bathroom great. There is also a washing machine and dryer for those staying longer. You also have covered parking for one car. The place was spotless which is a challenge given Santa Fe's dust. Full marks to the cleaning crew.
The only downside is you have no view. There is a small space outside the living room with a table and four chairs and a barbeque. No big deal unless you were planning to entertain the masses outdoors. So, inside space excellent, outside space compact. But stunning views are just minutes away.
Overall, an excellent place to stay in close and for those that enjoy walking rather than driving.
The Two Casitas folks were also very solicitous and a nice welcome gift awaited me.
Thank you for staying with Two Casitas and for sharing your experience! The Carmel is in a great location for exploring the best of Santa Fe and we are thrilled to hear you enjoyed the space. We hope to have the opportunity to be your host again!
The Carmel Casita was one of the best vacation rentals we have had. The furnishings were warm and comfortable and the location could not be beat! 15 minutes (at a slow pace) to town and 4 minutes to Canyon Road (be sure to try The Teahouse for dinner!). The casita was extremely well furnished and clean. The kitchen had everything and more that you could ask for. It will be our first choice on our return trip to Santa Fe.
Thank you for the review! We're thrilled that we could be hosts to your party, and that you were so impressed with Carmel! The Teahouse is wonderful, and is often overlooked, so thank you for the recommendation. We also make sure our homes are ready to live and cook in, and it sounds like you did just that! We hope to see you in Santa Fe again some time soon.
