Ready to Relax in 1610 Square Feet of Beachfront Property?
Take just four steps from Wave Crest's back door and sink your toes into the white sand beach of Anna Maria Island or enjoy views of the Gulf of Mexico from the deck, Florida room, or the four Adirondack chairs right on the sand. This gulf-front cottage is located directly on the beach and will transport you back to a simpler time to relax and unwind.
Built in 1952, Wave Crest was the beach retreat enjoyed by Florida's Chiles family for 60 years. It has been recently expanded, refurbished and fitted with modern conveniences, but the basic design and materials have not changed. Original to the home are the heart of pine floors, walls, and ceilings in common areas. The wood inside, including the kitchen cabinets, is old-growth Florida longleaf yellow pine harvested from the Chiles' family farm.
The kitchen has been newly updated with quartz countertops and new appliances. New and antique furniture appoint the living areas and the laundry features a commercial grade washer and dryer. Internet, Wi-Fi, cable, Xbox and four smart TVs will keep you connected. Welcome to the 1950s with a modern touch!
This three-bedroom, three-bath beachfront vacation rental cottage has two queen bedrooms and one with two twin beds. All have private baths; two with walk-in showers and one with a shower/tub combination making this home ideal for six beach lovers.
Wave Crest is located directly on the gulf beach just 600 yards south of AMI's tranquil Bean Point. Shopping, dining, and the free AMI trolley are a short walk down the beach to Pine Avenue and the iconic Rod and Reel Pier is even closer to the east. Reserve Wave Crest and savor the sunsets while daily cares drip away.

What makes this House unique
Although this cottage has been updated in recent years, the basic design has not changed since it was finished in 1953 when it was one of the first homes completed on the site of a former WWII radar station.

This was our first trip to Anna Maria and we picked the perfect house for our first visit!
This was the best stocked house we have ever rented. From beach chairs to beach towels and a fully stocked kitchen. It is much bigger than it looks and pictures don’t do it justice! The location was perfect! Our only suggestion would be to allow the thermostat to be set below 72 degrees.
WOW and then WOW again...can't wait to return.
We were the first group to stay at Wave Crest since it was remodeled!!!!! WOW!!!!
The house is amazing and the decorating is superb. We each had our own room and bath. The kitchen is more than adequate and all the dishes and utensils are new and first class Nice touch on the shuttered windows. The sitting room and back room area are open to the beach with big windows and sliding glass doors. Loved the pocket doors, such a nice nostalgic touch. On our first 2 days we didn't even need to use the air conditioning, just opened the windows and enjoyed the cool breezes and listened to the sound of the surf. We will definitely be back!!!!! The rental company and staff were very helpful and we were able to print our boarding passes there.
This family and elderly friendly vacation rental is located on Florida's Anna Maria Island, a quaint barrier island nestled in the Gulf of Mexico south of Tampa Bay. Comprised of three cities—Anna Maria on the north end, Holmes Beach in the middle and Bradenton Beach to the south—AMI is one of the only places where the 'old Florida' charm still exists. The Island has every convenience needed, including multiple awardwinning restaurants, including Beach Bistro, Sandbar Restaurant, Sign of the Mermaid, and Waterfront Restaurant. There is also plenty of shopping available along historic Pine Avenue in Anna Maria and Bradenton Beach's historic Bridge Street. With the beach and the Bay just minutes away from your front door, there is plenty to do in the water. Kayaking, snorkeling, fishing, jet skiing, and parasailing are the more popular activities. With the Island only seven miles long, there is no need to drive when almost everything is within walking or biking distance. Plus, there is a free trolley service that runs the length of the Island every day. AMI truly has something for everyone, and everyone who visits falls in love with it. We are sure you will too! So, reserve your vacation home today . . . seven miles of pristine white beaches and beautiful sunsets await you!
