We fell in love with the mountain views and sense of open space in this four-bedroom/ three bath home.
A large sun-filled living /dining room with pine vaulted ceilings and floor to ceiling windows greet you as you enter the house, signaling that vacation has begun! The 2500 square foot, spacious three-level home offers privacy and ample space for relaxation with family and friends.
View the gorgeous mountains/forest through the windows/sliding glass doors or enjoy lovely views from one of the decks.
In the evening, gather downstairs in the full size family room on the large sectional couch around the brick fireplace or practice a few tunes on the upright piano.
The top floor features the master bedroom with a King-sized bed. a full-bathroom and a private deck The main floor with the kitchen/ living room has two bedrooms - one queen, one with two twin beds and a second bathroom. The bottom floor is like a private apartment - a King-sized bedroom, a full bathroom, and the family-room/fireplace with sliding doors that lead out to the spacious back yard. An additional pull out couch in the upper level reading area and another adjustable single bed can accommodate two more people.
Pine Mountain Club is a hidden gem only 1.5 hours from Los Angeles. The mountains and forest have miles of hiking and cross-country skiing trails, and the exclusive club offers a gorgeous 9-hole golf course, horseback riding, tennis and swimming in summer -- a bistro and a recreation room filled with pool-table, air hockey, ping pong and video games for the kids.Special events throughout the year include live concerts on the green, Wine in the Pines festival, Car Show, Fall Festival, Lilac Festival and more...
Julie and Mauricio bought this mountain retreat home for their family of four two years ago. We wanted our kids (age 4 and 8) to experience four seasons and grow up playing in the snow in winter. Mauricio is an avid golfer and Julie and the kids love to swim in the pool surrounded by mountain views The kids are budding artists, and love to sketch on the Sunday morning Sierra Club strolls. Back in the city, Julie is a professor of education and Mauricio is a graphic designer. They wish they could spend more time in Pine Mountain which feels worlds away from the city.
Julie and Mauricio Feldman-Abe purchased this house in 2011
So close to LA and yet so far.. time expands out here so you can spend quality time with family and friends, and experience natural beauty. Close enough to get easily to town and the clubhouse/ppol/rec center/ playground (5 minute drive or a 12 minute walk)
The multilevel house allows for bedrooms on separate floors and two full living room/ gathering spaces. The wrap-around patio views are beautiful.
Pine Mountain Club guest passes include access to the golf course, swimming, tennis, hiking, cross-country skiing, mountain-biking and a playground/ baseball field.
There are wonderful events throughout the year -including Wine in the Pines festival, Lilac Festival, an antique Car Show, a Center of the World theater/songwriting festival, Outdoor Shakespeare performances, Concerts on the Golf course and many more.
This is a great home in Pine Mountain - roomy with 4 bedrooms and a full bathroom on each of its 3 levels. There is a beautiful view from every window and it is a short drive to town and to the club. Julie and Mauricio are easily accessible if you have any questions and are very kind and helpful. We used the handy binder they prepared to learn more about the community and hikes in the area. We took a hike to Sawmill Mountain and the kids made snowflakes in the club during Wednesday's arts & crafts time. We played dominoes and cards in the living room and watched movies in the downstairs family room. Julie recommended the restaurant Cafe Silva Bella and the chef is world class! Star gazing at night on the spacious deck was remarkable. We look forward to coming back!
This cabin was perfect for our family escape from the city life. Its a hidden gem at Pine Mtn.The cabin has many great accommodations. The over aarea is lovely. Our family went up there to spend quality time together, have fun, catch up, and this cabin allowed us to do so. We would definitely recommend it to family and friends. We would love to visit again. This cabin was clean, roomy, and comfy. It was so simple to rent. Julie and Abe's instructions and notes are so detailed we had no questions. Excellent communication!! Thank to the Feldman family for allowing us to visit your lovely cabin. Truly, Pena family.
The house was everything we expected and the gentlemen watching the house took exceptional care of us.
Julie and Mauricio Feldman-Abe’s vacation home felt like Home away from Home. The house is super clean, nicely decorated, and well maintained. It is also well appointed with things like a TV, DVD, lots of movies, free Wireless Access, lots of kitchen dishes/utensils and tools. The beds were quite comfortable. The layout of the house is perfect for family gathering and also personal space if desired. We did not have to pack sheets and linens or cleaning items. Julie was very helpful with describing the house to us and giving advice on what to do. She was also very available, in case you need to call or text her in a pinch. Lastly its a great experience for kids , my grandchildren keep asking me when we will go back to Pine Mountain and if we could stay at Cabin again!! Definitely will be back!!
We had a family gathering here in mid-June. It really does comfortably sleep 10! (unlike some places that include blow up beds, etc.) There is a lot of room for both privacy and communal activity. Julie was very responsive and helpful with questions. The views are great from every window. Close to the summer solstice, however, the mornings were blindingly sunny, since the east facing high windows aren't shaded up top as they are below, so wear sunglasses for breakfast in the summer! Probably not an issue in the winter. Furnishings are homey, comfy, shabby, (but not too) circa 1980. Everything clean and well maintained. Kitchen large and decently supplied. Highly recommended!! We'll be back!
We stayed in the cabin with six people total and had an absolute blast!
The cabin is super spacious, wonderfully well equipped in terms of kitchen utensils and games, and just simply an absolute gem! Cozy breakfasts on the balcony with a beautiful view of the mountains, long hikes during the day, and game nights by the fireplace ... What more could one ask for!
Julie was a formidable host! From the very first contacting of her to the signing of the rental agreement to infos on hikes and what to do in the area, every single step was easy and quick!
By the time that we packed our bags we all agreed: we already can't wait to come back to the cabin!
