Guestbook comments from the manager

This was our first visit to St. Maarten We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and we loved this property. The views from the bedroom, main room and veranda were amazing. We saw some gorgeous sunsets. Also, I highly recommend you bring rafts to float around in the bay. This is so relaxing! The property is secure and beautifully decorated. The owners provide you with absolutely everything you'll need (phone service, internet access, a notebook, gas grill, coolers to take down to the beach, etc). We really liked the location on Simpson Bay because you are within walking distance of lots of great restaurants. We certainly hope to return one day.

Fantastic condo, perfect location

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at the Sandpiper with my husband and my sister to escape the winter in the north, and to relax after the holidays. The condo is huge, with very high ceilings - both bedrooms very spacious, and well furnished. The view is stunning - we all enjoyed just siting at the table on the very large balcony and watching the sailboats and mega yachts come and go, especially when the drawbridge opens in the am and pm. Pool deck is spacious, and we mostly had it to ourselves and very few condos were occupied when we were there. The french Bistro Alantico was fantastic, and we retrieved danishes and crepes there every morning - its a 5 minute walk away to the commercial area, with bars (Dingy Dock, Yacht Club), restaurants, and several small grocery store to provisioning. Prices were fantastic!

Gordon was a bevy of information, and suggested we rent a car from a local vendor near the airport, Empress rentals. They came to pick us up, and drove us to the airport after the rental return - all at about half the price of the major rental firms. You can walk to the fun beach bar Karacter, which has amazing meals and drinks. The airport is right behind the bar for some added excitement.

Condo is perfect, really, and the beach very private. Kitchen well stocked with pans, etc., and we stayed in two nights to cook on the grill. Large grocery store only a ten minute car ride away. Liquor and beer just a 5 minute walk away at the Chinese grocery store (and $15 cheaper per bottle than at home in Washington, DC) We took an island tour via rental car one day, and enjoyed some of the best french food (and very affordable) we have had outside of France! Three course lunch with steak and bernaise, including drink - $20 in Oyster Bay.

Amazing condo!!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a 8 day stay at the Sandpieper. We were a little nervous about what the condo would be like and as stated in the other reviews it exceeded our expectations. The view was beyond words, the condo was immaculate, well stocked including beach chairs and swim noodles which saved us chair rentals. At Mullet Beach chair rental and umbrella costs $20. The pool and grounds are cleaned daily and the sand was raked every morning, even on the beach in front of the condo...which is only a few steps away. You have to see it to believe it!

Gordon and Jill were a wealth of information and we ate at many of the suggested resturants. We had a rental car which you really need to see the island and visit the various beaches. Can't wait to return again!

Beautiful Large Luxury Condo

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed for two weeks and this was the best place we have stayed in our travels. The condo is large and spacious, the kitchen has everything you would need if you wanted to cook. But who cooks when you go on vacation!! The full size refer has a great ice maker and there are two coolers for your use to take to the beaches.

The bedrooms are great and huge with comfy beds. Maid service every three days and a good sized stackable washer and dryer to use. This place has it all!! There were a couple of issues we found as soon as we got in, the biggest was the AC in the MBR was not working but the property manager Gordon came right over and unlocked the rear MBR for us to use until they could replace the AC unit.

My wife will now use this condo as the standard for everything else we rent for vacations. I somehow have a feeling we will only be coming back to here the next time we come to St. Maarten!!

Beautiful condo, so relaxing

  • 5 of 5

A family of three stayed in this very spacious and well kept condo in Simpson Bay. We throughly enjoyed the view from the very spacious deck area. Every morning we had breakfast there and watched the yachts and sail boats coming and going. We also used the grill and the well equipped kitchen to prepare some meals. There are plenty of great restaurants in walking distance. Enjoyed Cafe Atlantico, The Palms, IZI's and SkipJacks.

We enjoyed walking up the beach each day, just a couple of minutes and we found a lovely, sandy area for swimming. Nice to have chairs and a cooler to take with us each day. The beach was never crowded or noisy, so peaceful and relaxing. Great beach for walking as well.

Jill very helpful with booking process, always very quick to get back and answer any questions. Gordon, a great guy, very helpful with check in. He provided lots of info on dining and areas to visit around the island.

Would definitely recommend this condo. Hope to return next year.

Beautiful condo in a beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

We rented this beautiful condo for a week (3/5/16-3/12/16). Two couples and it was plenty of room. Very spacious and open. The view from our deck was to die for. It was like a picture from a magazine. Beautiful sailboats and yachts in the bay. Just a few steps to the beach for our daily walks. Simpson Bay is definitely a great area to stay, you can walk to any type of restaurant that you can think of. People in St. Maarten are very friendly so that is a huge plus! We rented a car to get around the island but you could easily walk, take a cab or use their bus system which is great! We all highly recommend this condo and would love to come back here again.

Stunning views, great location

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful week enjoyed at this fantastic condo. Steps to the beach and walking distance to the lively town of Simpson Bay which has many great restaurants and shops to get whatever you need during your stay. The condo has everything you need and is spotless. It is exactly as pictured.

You will love the large deck overlooking the bay and the many mega yachts that come and go daily into the lagoon. We rented a car for the week, toured the entire island and visited many of the beaches and towns. Plan to come back again.
