When you come to Rose Cabin you will find that our comfortable home offers quiet indoor and outdoor spaces, yet provides plenty of room for everyone to gather for special dinners around the oak dining table or cozy fireplace. Nestled in the heart of wonderful Saw Creek Estates a variety of on site amenities are included in the rental fee. In the winter, go sledding with the children. In the summer sip your favorite beverage while sitting pool side at the Top of the World. Any time of the year, listen to nature from our back deck that looks out over 7 acres of wild life. Within a short drive, you could be outlet shopping in Tannersville (20 miles), enjoying the nightlife of New York City (86 miles), hiking Bushkill Falls (5 miles), or skiing the slopes of Camelback (25 miles) or Shawnee (6 miles). Additional attractions include festivals in and around the area, hiking at Water Gap, and a variety of golf courses.
We live in Delaware and have always enjoyed vacationing in the Pocono area. We fell in love with Saw Creek Estates seven years ago after spending a week at a Home Away property in the development. Since then, we set our sights on owning in the development. In April of 2013, our dream became a reality and 6 months of re-doing began. Now the home feels like 'home' to us and we are ready to share it with others.

This home is tuely our 'home away'. It is the place we bring our friends and family, spend long weekends, and build memories. Our first memories in the home are of all of the work that we have done to 'make it ours'. We had two goals in mind when re-doing. The first was to be environmentally friendly and our second was to maintain a fun and relaxed feeling. As a result, each piece of furniture and most of the decorations have a 'story' in that about 90% of the items were bought, found, or donated in used and used-up condition and brought back to life for use in our home. While challenging at times, it led to such creations as our chalk board door in the kitchen and 'mardi gras' art in the downstairs bath. We believe our home is now a place to relax and revive. It is a place to listen to nature and to each other. It is a place to try new things (skiing for the first time, obstacle course in the trees, golfing on a 13 mile golf course in the mountains) and reminisce over past adventures.
With relaxation in mind, we have tried to create spaces that are calming and fun. The Sonos players allow any music, anytime. Nextflix on the 50 inch screen in the loft provides video satisfaction. Open the queen sofa, pop some popcorn, and have a movie day. The outdoor spaces include our large back deck and screened porch that look out over the treetops of 7 acres of wild life. Our home includes one bedroom on the main level, two bedrooms on the top level, large loft with queen sleeper, two full bathrooms, sunroom, deck, fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, linens and towels, complimentary soap and shampoo, and amenity passes for the development. Come, feel free to put your feet up, sip a craft beer or local wine, play a board game with your children, watch the deer walk across the driveway, hike the falls, swim, golf, attend a festival, or simply sleep in late and have breakfast in the sunroom.

We arrived in the evening on 2/14/14. There had been a significant amount of snow that week so the driveway had not been plowed as of yet. This was at no fault to the owner, Kelly. The driver for the plow had unfortunately gotten stuck himself on one of the roads. This home is such a warm and welcoming place. I was quite impressed with its simplicity and elegance. It was cozy yet large enough for my family of four and several more if necessary.
This home is well maintained with all the small details needed to be comfortable. Kelly was always prompt and responsive with the few questions I had. This home is in short distance to the main road with Shawnee Mountain 10-15 mins away and Camelback just a bit further.
I would love to see this home in the summer so we are planning a return trip. So relaxing. Thank you Kelly and Jeff for sharing your home with us!

When looking up a place to stay for MLK weekend , this house was my first choice. When arriving Kelly(owner) was always available and accommodating to my parties needs. The house nonetheless has everything that you can ever ask for. Thanks to Kelly for welcoming my group and I and treating us like family <3
We had a great stay at the cabin in Bushkill. It was just my husband and daughter and I for the first 2 nights and then our friends (another couple) joined us for the third night. We had great fires in the fire-place, my daughter loved playing with the toys and games stored upstairs in the closet, we cooked a lot together and everything was very comfortable. We didn't get around to using the swimming pool or fitness center but used the sleds at the house over at the community sledding hill which was very fun. The cottage is about 15-20 minutes from the main grocery store. We enjoyed visiting the super quirky "Pocono Snake and Animal Farm" about 25 minutes away and highly recommend getting pie at the "Village Farmer" shop in Delaware water gap (maybe 35 minutes away from the cottage). We also went to a fun shop (which I'm forgetting the name of) where they sell way too many kinds of bulk candy- and have lots of funky things to poke around and see. The property was clean and as pictured and described in the description. The only thing that worried us a little was the steep drive way that is a little tricky to back out of, and not tons of space to turn around in. Having some road salt/sand on hand and indications of whether cars can be left at the top of the driveway given slippery conditions are the only recommendations I'd have for the owners on improving the stay there. We enjoyed our little winter vacation at the cottage and would recommend it to others.
Cozy home with fantastic owners. Close to Shawnee mountain. Close enough that we bought our tickets, came back to the house for lunch, then hit the slopes. Community is secure, and we felt very safe. Would absolutely return.
This was such a nice trip for our family. The house was set up in a cozy, friendly way. Anything and everything we could possibly need was available, and it was clear that a lot of thought went into the details to make this a nice experience for anyone who was staying here.
The house was just perfect--clean and welcoming. Our hosts were good to work with and prepared a welcome message and toys for our kids. The house is very pretty and we appreciated all the little touches to make our stay enjoyable. Thanks!
We have two teenagers and the house worked out well. Lots of room and really liked having the master suite on the first floor. Very clean and comfortable. Kelly was incredibly nice and responsive to our needs. Highly recommend!
Our home is located in the heart of Bushkill's surrounding moutains. The development is a gated community that offers full amenities including indoor and outdoor pools, ski area with lift and ski rentals, sledding, indoor and outdoor tennis, fitness center, lake with boats, and playgrounds. Outside of the community, there are a variety of golf courses, outdoor adventures (zip line, water rafting, horseback riding, hiking), ski areas such as Camelback, as well as festivals, antiquing, outlet shopping, and nightlife at the casinos.
