Mount Lemmon Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Den with Convertible bed, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

The heat is on it's way in AZ This is the perfect escape! We completed building our charming log cabin home in 1998 and it is just waiting for you to arrive, unwind and enjoy yourself. It’s built on the side of a steep slope, providing expansive, panoramic views. Sit on the deck overlooking the pines; enjoy your favorite beverage, while the hummingbirds visit the feeders and the raptors soar down the canyon. Watch the gorgeous sunsets over the mountains to the west and marvel at the stars in the sky at night. Leave the heat behind in the summer, it’s less than an hour from Tucson, but THIRTY DEGREES COOLER AND 6000 FEET HIGHER in elevation making this the perfect getaway from the desert southwest in the summer. In the winter drive to the snow and enjoy skiing, snowboarding, sledding and cross country skiing.

Three bedrooms and a den on two levels make this cabin family friendly. On the upper level you will find a fully equipped kitchen, dining space, a bathroom with shower along with the master bedroom and a queen size bed. The Flat Screen TV, DVD player and stereo provide entertainment when you want a break from the great outdoors. The lower level has 2 bedrooms, a den and a bath. The two bedrooms have queen beds, the den a queen futon. Each room has a private balcony or outdoor seating. The charming bathroom with a hand painted claw foot tub and plenty of plush towels awaits you. This cabin is our dream get-away retreat and we look forward to sharing it with you. We ask that you treat it like it is your dream get away as well. There is a metal staircase of about 50 steps to descend from the parking area to the cabin. Thanksgiving, and December 23 through Mon Jan 3 is a premium time, 3 night minimum.

About The Owner

We've been in Tucson since 1980 and always dreamed of having a cabin on Mt Lemmon, in 1998 this dream came true. This is THE place to go in the summertime to enjoy the cool temps and lush vegetation.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 1998

Wow, What A View

  • 5 of 5

This lovely cabin has wonderful views of the mountains and is surrounded by beautiful pine trees. Plus, the temperature is about 20-30 degrees cooler than in Tucson! The pictures of the inside of the cabin on this website are accurate - very nice and spacious accommodations. The beds are comfortable and the linens & towels are soft & plentiful. We found the kitchen very well stocked with everything that we needed to cook our meals and the owner has numerous spices (not just salt & pepper) for the renter to use. All the appliances worked properly and we had no trouble using the TVs, remotes & WIFI in the cabin. The owner of this log cabin house was a delight to deal with and promptly replied to all my questions and returned our damage deposit within two days of us leaving. There are very large decks on all the levels with outside furniture for you to sit on and relax, look at the amazing scenery, or read a good book. It also has a large gas grill to cook your steaks, fish, hamburgers, hot dogs or anything else that you choose. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and the town of Summerhaven is just a 10-15 minute walk down the hill. There are three restaurants close by and a little store to buy things you forgot to bring with you in town. Plus, we went fishing at Rose Canyon Lake, only 8 miles away, and also hiking on the numerous trails on Mt. Lemmon. Great fun with the grandkids! There are also several picnic areas on Mt. Lemmon, if that is what you enjoy. The only negative is the 50 steps down to the cabin from the parking area. We found that a little challenging carrying our luggage & supplies down the stairs when we arrived and up the stairs when we left with the 9,000 ft. altitude. We had a wonderful time and made fun memories with our family here, plus we got out of the 100 degree plus temperatures of Tucson for a while. We would definitely recommend this rental property.

Lovely Mountain Get-Away Near Tucson

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is great! Includes a wood stove, very comfortable beds, two bathrooms, large family room, and a wrap around deck with a gorgeous view and outdoor grill. Nicely decorated with a well-stocked kitchen. There's also a really fun claw-footed tub downstairs. Perfect for escaping the heat and bustle of Tucson. I've stayed there twice, and I'm looking forward to staying again soon. :)

My favorite place in Arizona

  • 5 of 5

This was my second stay at this cabin and it is amazing. Everything in this cabin is wonderful, the beds are top quality, the kitchen is well stock with nice utensils, the couch and chairs are great. The owners are awesome and great to work with. The cabin has a porch for each bedroom with great views. There is also a really nice BBQ grill. Not a single complaint from either time I stayed here, it is a perfect getaway.
