I have loved the Weeki Wachee River since I was a child and quickly became enamored with the crystal clear water and the peaceful but friendly enviornment the river provides.Enjoy the charm of old Florida in a quiet surrounding while you boat, kayak, canoe, tube, swim or just relax on the screened porch or deck.
I have always wanted a weekend home on this river which is why we purchased this property. It is a comfortable retreat for us, our family and friends, sharing our home with you allows us to continue our enjoyment of this incredible spring fed river. We take pride in providing you with a clean, efficient and enjoyable rental. Florida has over 700 spring fed rivers, this is one that you must experience.
Keywords: Enjoy time on the beautiful spring fed Weeki Wachee Rental! Great location, close to restaurants, kayak/canoe rentals, marina and Roger's State Park. Fish and swim from the dock, kayaking is easy with our steps from the dock to the canal. Outdoor deck with sink and screened porch overlooking the water.
I am actively involved in New Home Sales and Management and love escaping to the River when ever I can. I believe everyone deserves a place to get a way to, and this should be one that you would enjoy.
Linda Trautman purchased this mobile home in 2005
50' dock provides plenty of room to fish, dock your boat, kayak or canoe. Steps from the dock to the canal make it easy to access from your water vessel. Located on a deep water canal and close to Roger's Park.
Central heat and air, interior laundry room, 2 full baths, living room is separate from bedrooms allowing privacy. Restaurants within walking distance.
I have been going to Weeki Wachee for over 25 years and this rental house is a perfect location on the river. It has a deep water canal so at any tide my boat has no problem getting in or going out. The boat ramp is a 10 min ride by boat from the ramp to the house. There are many manatees that you can see almost around every bend in the river. The house itself is very comfortable and charming. This is a great place to just relax and enjoy true Florida. My family and I are so glad we were able to find this vacation spot. The only bad thing is the kids will keep bugging you about when they can they go back. Good problem to have. :-)
We had wonderful anniversary weekend here. Brought the kayaks and Jon boat with us. What a beautiful river, crystal clear with lots of fish and manatees. We attempted to drop in at the head spring and do the paddle trip on Saturday morning.... Let me warn you, get there early. We were turned around at 10:20 a.m. due to the parking lot being full so we got in the Jon boat and went scalloping. We returned later and motored up the river after the crowds were gone in the afternoon and really enjoyed it. Overall a great place to see. When I do it again it will be during the weekdays due to the weekend crowds. The house was very comfortable and clean. Thanks for having us Linda!!
Well located with a nice overall experience
We had a family weekend here and I couldn't have been happier, it's cozy, quiet and we saw so much wildlife!
Linda was so friendly and helpful to us & our needs.
We also liked how close it is to everything you need or want. Yet felt away from it all.
We arrived to find a smelly, cockroach-infested, filthy, unsafe dump. We spent an entire month deep-cleaning, including carpets, windows, walls, there was SO much dust on every surface we could not breathe, had to buy an air cleaner and replace all filters in air conditioner, furnace and water line, had to put batteries in smoke detectors, had to deal with pest control twice as the place was overrun with cockroaches, and then had to clean the feces out of every cupboard and drawer . The outside lights did not work on front and back porches and in 2 bedrooms. The stove was sparking and none of the burners worked properly. The A/C quit when it was 90 degrees out. The place stunk, we had to move furniture to edge and vacuum for the carpet cleaner and then move it all back, and the water extracted was black and stunk to high heaven. The outlet on the deck is not GFI and is mounted on a rotten piece of wood. I could go on and on, but we rented a VACATION rental, we did not expect to work on someone else's property nor did we expect to be treated like dirt by this owner. We asked for our money back but she refused, and now, while we are still here, she has informed us she is selling it and now we have to out up with constant intrusions while potential buyers parade through our privacy. The photos are and descriptions are FALSE- this is NOT a 3-bedroom unit. There is 1 true bedroom that has a door that closes (the closet doors are off the broken tracks and we are not fixing that too). The 2nd and 3rd so-called bedrooms is actually 1 big room with a bookcase that doesn't even reach the ceiling dividing the 2 beds. You can see one bed while lying in the other, there is absolutely no privacy and the door to the back porch requires that you walk right in between both beds. The place is not maintained, the shed, and laundry room and garage were just as filthy as the house. The furniture in the living room is very old and uncomfortable, and one chair was so disgusting we had to out it in the garage. The TV's are about 30 years old and do not pick up HD channels, so we had to go buy our own. This was an absolutely terrible experience. I am sure she will reply with paragraphs of excuses, as she has done with prior bad reviews. I have photographs to show all of my claims and would be happy to share them with anyone interested in renting. Of course, now, it is clean, organized and repaired!
Our stay at this cottage was perfect! We had some bad weather but it did not matter. The owner was very kind and helpful. We would defiantly stay there again.
We stayed at this cozy place it was really cozy quaint and clean. I grew up going to Weeki Wachee and Pine Island as a kid so my wife and i planned a few day getaway with my Mom and Dad to kinda give back, this place Added to the whole 3 day getaway.it took my family back to them days years ago .Its right on the canal which worked great for docking my boat. We seen Manatee's lots of fish and some pet ducks. All in this place is a must stay we will be back .Thanks Linda.
Located minutes from Weeki Wachee State Park, home of the live mermaids and Bucaneer Bay water park. Kayak from the head springs and experience pristine waterways, view manatees swimming the river, large fish, deer and birds. Fabulous areas to swim, cool off and simply embrace nature. Walking distance to Roger's State Park, a local fresh water park with boat launch, beach, pavillion, kayak and canoe rentals and the Upper Deck Waterfront Restaurant.
Pine Island is nearby, located on the Gulf of Mexico and offers a Big Dock fishing pier.
