We also own the Freeport Guest House 'A Maine Gem' #3021036. We have just acquired and renovated this home in the same neighborhood and hope that our guests will enjoy staying in the 1920's Homestead Apartment as much as they have enjoyed the Freeport Guest House.
John and Kim purchased this apartment in 2013
Our family enjoyed the apartment so much. It was spacious and clean and welcoming. We are sure to return! Thanks again for a pleasant stay.
One would be hard pressed to find more spacious and well cared for accommodations. The Homestead apartment had period charm while offering modern convenience. We were blown away by the amount of room the apartment offered. From the sun porch sitting and dining area to the large kitchen. comfortable den, large master bedroom, additional room with option to close off as second sleeping area (day bed) and two baths...........we found the apartment to be lovingly cared for and well appointed. Quiet and yet quick access into the middle of Freeport ( 2 minute drive). We found it to be a perfect location. If you like to cook, as we do, you'll find he kitchen well stocked with dishes, pots and pans and utensils, however we did need to purchase basics such as salt, pepper, plastic wrap, foil, etc.
All in all, we would highly recommend this for a Freeport stay.
Charming and comfortable. Clean and spacious home. We felt right at home. Close to town and the highway it was perfect for our 4 day stay in the area. The only somewhat down side was that the trundle bed is more suited to child or younger person. We were 4 seniors and by the last night I (being the youngest) was having trouble getting out of bed. Mattress was very comfortable, just a little a low to the ground. But apart from that we had a great stay.
