NATIONAL PARK SERVICE:
Our family just returned from staying at the Kodiak cabin in Pigeon Forge. While I have nothing but great things to say about the cabin itself…the area was not what we expected. Pigeon Forge is like a carnival. The traffic is horrible and you have to do quite a bit of driving to get anywhere. We did LOVE the Smoky Mountain National Park and we went white water rafting. The cabins are located out of town which was very nice! We shared the cabin with another family for a total of 8. This cabin is HIGH up in the mountains and the drive is scary, but safe :) You are in the mountains with many other cabins which we did not realize prior to booking. This cabin in particular had the best sunset views and the neighbors are not close by so no worries there. The hot tub was a huge hit with our kids as Spring Break in April was still a bit chilly. We bought food at the local Kroger and used the grill provided.Very relaxing and quiet! It was a lovely stay in the mountains! The cabin was clean and we had plenty of room for 4 kids and 4 adults. We really enjoyed the Kodiak Cabin!
Our family spent a week at the Kodiak Cabin and loved it!! It had plenty of room for two adults and three teenagers. Only problem was figuring out who go the other room with a jacuzzi! I would like to mention the cabin has a washer and dryer which I didn't see listed in the description. Added bonus!! A beautiful view of the mountains too. The drive to the cabin was steep and winding, but once at the cabin it was worth it. Plenty to do in town, just leave enough time because traffic is horrible!!! Overall, clean, comfortable, and homey!
Just arrived yesterday here in Tennessee with our kids and some of their friends. We were so excited to get here the 12 hour trip was worth the ride. We booked this cabin with hopes it would be as nice as it looked and it has exceeded all our expectations. We have 4 days left and don't want it to end. This place is clean and plenty of room for the 9 of us.
We are here in Tennessee for the first time with our kids and a few of their friends. Total a group of 9 and staying at the kodiak cabin. I was hoping it was a nice as it looked when we booked and I can say it is better then I had hoped. The cabin is clean and there is plenty of room for all. We hiked up the the Apalachian trail today to Charles Bunion lookout and it was something to be seen. Loving everything about our stay and we have 4 more days left and I don't want to leave.
Our yearly family vacation was at Kodiak Cabin. My parents, brother and wife and myself spent a week. Wonderful customer service, Cabin was very clean and well stocked with items needed. The view was great from everyroom in the cabin, the mountains, birds, sunset you could not have asked for anything more. Attended the Dixie Stampede and the Lumber Jack show and of course shopping . Hope to return again for a great vacation,.
The pictures of this cabin make it seem like it is a lot bigger, unfortunately, it is smaller. BUT! it worked. We didn't spend much time here because of the distance to town, which is not the cabins fought, but if you want to be close to downtown, (less then 15 minutes) this is not the cabin for you. There were some safety concerns traveling with three kids. The railings seemed unsafe, crooked, and the deck had nails poking up, bowed and had gaps. The steps in the cabin had large spaces at the top, our oldest was walking up when her foot went straight thru! Luckily, she was holding an adults hand. The hot tub was nice, but I am not sure we spent a lot of time in it due to the weary deck. The cabin was not very clean when we arrived. And there was obvious water damage to the wood in the dining room.
On another note, the view was pretty, and it looked like they had a nice pool! (we didnt use since it was not open :-])
