Blue Heaven

  • 4 of 5

Owner was very easy to work with and the home is well appointed with supplies, entertainment, etc. Light sleepers beware, during the summer, this home is noisy as it is right next to the expressway and you will need to keep your windows open (no ac which is the norm in Truckee). I knew the area however and was willing to give that up for location. Can walk to Wild Cherries, best coffee bar in town, Smiths and the local natural food store, the main hard wear store, etc, etc. This is a spacious unit that can sleep quite a few folks. The master is nice and private. Nice laundry. Good kitchen and appliances. Spacious garage. Will def stay again if I need it.

Great location and beautiful cabin

  • 5 of 5

The cabin's location was great! It was walking distance to the grocery store and less than 20 minutes away from Northstar Ski Resort. My friends and I loved the fact that there were board games, towels and other kitchen supplies. There was plenty of room for all of us in the cabin and Deborah was very responsive when we had questions.

Perfect ski house for the fam

  • 5 of 5

We return when we can to go skiing usually with one other family. It's the perfect size house for two families. My husband doesn't ski but goes to Truckee to hang out in the cool cafes there or he goes snow shoeing. There is something for everyone. The grocery store is so close and it's so convenient to NorthStar, Sugar Bowl, Boreal, Squaw /Alpine resorts. We love it!

Great Stay

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful time at Deb's cabin. The location is very convenient to all outdoor activities, shopping, and downtown Truckee. We stayed with 10 adults and it was cozy in the rooms, but we had plenty of space in the common areas. Deb was wonderful and answered all our questions promptly. I would definitely stay here again. Ideal place for a ski weekend.

Blue Heaven

  • 5 of 5

The cabin itself was beautiful and well kept. The location is a mere 20 minutes from Lake Tahoe and 5 minutes from Donner Lake leaving residents with options on where they would like to go. It is also located near a safeway and various restaurants. The details of the cabin match 100% with those provided on the booking website. Overall I would recommend new bookers make use of the kitchen as it is fully equipped and enjoy their stay at "Blue Heaven."

Great home in convenient location

  • 5 of 5

Blue Heaven is a very well-kept, clean, fully-stocked, organized home within walking distance of Safeway, Ace Hardware, Starbucks, Rite-Aid, a liquor store(and I'm sure many more) and is also a quick hop onto the highway. The pictures very accurately represented the home. The owner had made a binder with arrival and departure information so that we could make ourselves at home and also leave without a fuss. The neighborhood is clean and welcoming. It took us less than 20 minutes to make it to Northstar ski resort. As mentioned, the house is fairly close to the highway and some traffic noise does reach the bedrooms, so it may be worth it to bring a loud fan for some white noise. Otherwise, this house was a perfect fit for our weekend in Tahoe and I would definitely stay here again.

When you drive to North Tahoe from the bay area this cabin is exactly where you feel like stopping. It's also in the perfect location to stop after skiing to take a shower, change clothes, have dinner and then drive back. It's at the intersection of interstate 80 and highway 89 with a short walk to Safeway and Starbucks. The hospital is also just down the street, which could come in handy.

The cabin is on a level lot and is easy to find even in the dark. The attached 2 car garage has an entrance into the cabin. You can park in the garage and unload and load the vehicle with ease. There are also Snowboard and ski racks in the garage for stowing your gear.

Other Activities: kayaking, parasailing, wildlife viewing, snowmobiling, cross counrty skiing, snowboarding
