House, 2 Bedrooms + Den, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-8)
I'm a C.P.A. and I hope to retire here in the next few years. We enjoy watching the wildlife while eating breakfast. Often we eat our meals on the patio. We try to take a walk around the neighborhood every day with our dog, Sam. He enjoys chasing the quail. The neighbors are friendly and the golf course is convenient. Wenatchee is 10 minutes away and has any shopping you need.
Terry purchased this House in 2006
Why Terry chose Malaga
I had this house custom built after looking at homes in the region for a year. The climate is good, the view is great, the neighbors are friendly, the golf course is convenient and Wenatchee provides all the conveniences of the city. Our goal is to furnish our home with everything you need. We have a variety of spices in the kitchen as well as some wine. The refrigerator has most anything you need except vegetables. Guest are welcome to use the food etc, all we ask is you replace any significant amount you used.
What makes this House unique
Our dog Sam can be out whenever he wants. In the winter we sometimes go cross country skiing on the golf course. The lake contains bass, croppy and perch and a boat with an electric motor is available. There is also fishing gear.
Please consider the following guidelines when booking this property:

All good. The owner Terry was very responsive to questions and the house was nice.
Fantastic Views and Very Nice Property! Very Relaxing, and much needed.
This property is amazing! If you are looking for somewhere to stay for scenic views and relaxation, this is your place! Pictures do not do this property justice on the internet. Terry was great to deal with and very personable. Wenachee which is very close to Malaga, has everything you need to vacation in a City. Also, the winery (Malaga) is very close and has amazing wine and perfect scenery. Thank you for the oportunity to rent your property!
Dirty and Creepy
I don’t like to give bad reviews, but a handful of things really push this one over the line. I have two main issues with this rental…
The first issue is the cleanliness. There were gross little clumps of hair everywhere, on the bedding, towels, under the baseboards, drains, etc. The place is full of clutter and personal effects, it’s like a bachelor lives here part time and just goes to stay with his girlfriend when he rents it out without cleaning anything up. There are gross bottles gathering soap scum and collecting gunk in the corner of the shower and just random stuff everywhere, they even left personal prescription drugs in the medicine cabinet. The headboard of the bed was covered in a thick layer of dust. The fridge is full of stuff, they try to sell this as having the things you need for your convenience, but it’s really just disgusting and several items were expired… I could go on, the whole place was just gross over all. They need to do a better job clearing out the clutter and either clean the place properly and thoroughly themselves or hire somebody to do it right.
The second and just as awful issue is privacy. They have two security cameras INSIDE the house!!! They are pointed towards the back doors, but they clearly also have the rooms they are located in the picture. I nearly walked in front of one naked before we realized they were there. If they are concerned about security they need to either install proper security cameras OUTSIDE the house or at the very least INFORM renters they are on camera inside the house. Filming people without their consent when they have a reasonable expectation of privacy is illegal in the state of Washington.
If invasion of privacy and general grossness don’t bother you, this is a fine rental.
Well-appointed Home in Serene Location
Four of us retired siblings and a niece stayed at the Three Lakes Getaway while visiting elderly relatives. Previously, we'd stayed in hotels. Imagine, for less than our hotel bill, we got an entire house to enjoy together, which led to more conversations and laughter than ever! The setting is incredibly tranquil. We'd sit out on the comfortable deck and enjoy morning coffee or read while listening to and watching the birds starting their day; herons, ducks, robins and red-winged blackbirds in abundance! In the evening, we’d marvel at all the fish jumping in the lake. We walked through the neighborhood and enjoyed laughing at the antics of nearby goats. What a great setting! Indoors, the house was so well-appointed that we lacked for nothing. The service fee for this home is also far less than most of the other rental homes in the area (always check these fees out before you book a home). Terry's recommendations for places to eat were spot on. We especially enjoyed breakfast at The Wild Huckleberry. Best ever breakfast! You can be sure we’ll be staying again and again!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed your stay as much as I do!
We all enjoyed our stay.
The home had everything as advertised. There was a couple things we didn’t like. The futon in the extra bedroom was very uncomfortable, might want to upgrade that . Also the garbage can in the garage was over flowing. Hardly had any room for what we had to put in there. We would stay again. Thanks!
Very cute home and beautiful scenery
We rented out this home and were very happy with it! Slim pickings for dog-friendly options in the Wenatchee area, and this didn’t disappoint. The pictures don’t do the house justice. Very cute and the location on the lake is beautiful. We were gone the majority of the daytimes, but loved relaxing on the deck at the end of the day with some wine, overlooking the lake. We’ll definitely book this home again in the future when family functions bring us back to the east side of the mountains. Thanks for sharing your home!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed your stay. I'm here for a few days and this morning I had to interrupt my workout to go rescue a sun turtle who crossed the road. He was about 8 or 10" so I took him back to the lake.
There are a dozen wineries in the area (2 just up the hill), Lake Chelan is 40 minutes and the Casino is 50 minutes. The Bavarian village of Leavenworth is 40 minutes. Mission Ridge has uncrowded skiing in powder snow!
