John Eastman purchased this house in 2003
Thank you for a wonderful stay in your beautiful home. It was just the kind of break we needed.
We got such a kick out of the Santa Fe airport: the calm, non-airport shot out of a cannon feel to it. It just added to the overall perfect-ness of our time there.
Also, I was able to get all my Christmas shopping done!
The house is very comfortable and well-furnished. The decks are a big plus: the one in front has an awning and is great for morning coffee. Another deck is on the side, shaded for happy hour! The setting is a beautiful, wooded canyon, with several other fine homes scattered on both sides. Very private and peaceful but only a 20 minute walk or quick drive to downtown.
We have stayed at this property four or five times, usually for a month, typically just two of us but also with a daughter, her husband and child, which worked well. The biggest advantages of this property are that it is reasonably priced and has a great location. The location is close to town, walking to the Plaza and surrounds is not arduous (10-15 minutes), and driving to DeVargas Mall for groceries, movies etc. takes 5-10 minutes. It is quiet and at a slight elevation, such that the view of the Southwest evening sky, occasional storms etc. is really nice, and not always easy to find in a Santa Fe rental. The interior is clean and fairly spacious; it could stand a little updating in places, the TV especially, but on the whole the furnishings, kitchenware, linens, etc. are quite satisfactory. We hope to return in future years.
We found the house to be comfortable, quiet and spacious. Views are excellent (stars, sunsets). We put up a hummingbird feeder and attracted dozens of them. Hope we can rteturn next year.
We had a truly magical stay. This house is more than
we ever would have expected -- perfect for our family
and both close to town and secluded at the top of a
hill. We'll never forget the many birds that visited the
bird feeder and listening to the nearby coyotes!
This lovely Santa Fe home exceeded our expectations in every way. It was conveniently located, quiet, and very comfortable. We loved sitting out on the deck(s) and watching the beautiful scenery. We hope to return next year and duplicate the perfect September vacation we had. The owners were also both thoughtful and friendly.
What a beautiful home and we loved the location. We sat outside on the deck and enjoyed the views of the surrounding countryside. We will definitely book again and will recommend this house to my sister who is planning a trip to Santa Fe next summer. Thank you Mr. Eastman for allowing us to use your beautiful home.
