Enjoy the peace and serenity of The Walker House by sitting on one of the decks either overlooking the riding stables, the golf course and mountains or the forest.
You can be busy all day or just relax and enjoy nature. There are two bedrooms on the main floor with two bathrooms. The spiral staircase leads to the loft bedroom with bunk beds (one twin and one full bed).
If golfing is your passion, this 18 hole golf course is fun, yet can be challenging. There are lots of creeks, mountain views and a very large waterfall on our signature hole number 8.
The swimming pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The tennis courts are availalbe year round.
The community is adjacent to 185,000 acre state protected game management area. There are hiking trails here and at the State Parks that are nearby. (Table Rock State Park and Oconee State Park) We are a short drive from Clemson University,
Lake Jocassee is 15 miles away with every kind of water activity.
There are water falls on location and within short driving distances.

Beautiful place and a wonderful drive to get their.
Home was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. Nice porches all around the house. Would have been very difficult for My Mother, had she been able to come, because of stairs going up to house and spiral staircase in home. Manager of property was helpful and available. I would stay here again.
We have stayed here many times and have always enjoyed it. The house is clean and neat with all that you would need for a weekend or month long stay. At the end of the day we especially like relaxing on the large decks, you can look down on everything around you or up to the mountains above you. The house is very secluded and it is pretty quiet yet it is close to all of the upstate lakes, state parks, golf courses and the Gorges Heritage Preserve. There is a nice vineyard, waterfalls, historic sites and small towns close by.
The house was nice. I liked the upstairs for the kids. Communication wasn't the greatest I've experienced with VRBO.
The property was in a nice location. It was in nature, but had a fairly decent restaurant nearby on the golf course to get dinner. Nearest grocery store is about 15 mins away, so bring food. Bed was comfortable. We did not have hot water the first day and a half because it had been turned off, but we were able to contact someone to help fix that. The only frustrating part was that when we were leaving that Sunday, I had accidentally locked my phone in the house when we were locking up the property as instructed. We attempted to contact the property manager multiple times and could not get in touch with anyone. It made me wonder what we would have done in an emergency and something needed to be taken care of at the house. The property manager should at least have a back up number to call if he is not available. Also, the house was not as clean as we hoped. We have an infant baby and moved the coffee table so our little guy could play on the floor, and the rug was dirty and had not been vacuumed. But overall a decent place to stay and get away.
My husband and I stayed for one month and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved the quiet, relaxing and comfortable accommodations. It was serene yet close enough to roadways that could take us to the "big city" or to beautiful hiking trails or waterfalls. Pickens is a friendly little town. We would definitely stay here if we visit the area again.
We are located against the Blue Ridge Mountains, seven miles from the North Carolina border. There are many waterfalls, state parks, lakes, Golf courses, and historic sights nearby. Table Rock Mountain is just east, and Lake Jocassee, and lake Keowee to the west. Pickens S.C. is nine miles to the south.
