With 2 living rooms, 5 bedrooms, and 3 baths you'll find this fully furnished home so much more comfortable than a hotel. Fun memories happen here!! It's so convenient for all your day trips. Very private and quiet surrounded by nature and it's friendly wildlife nestled in your own little world only a minute off the highway to Grand Canyon. Bring the family, bring 2, you've got plenty of room to enjoy your own space and a wonderful nature experience right from the comfort of your own home. Enjoy 2 roomy sitting areas. One has a fireplace, with great southwest decor. A private family room which is a quiet place to visit or read. You can fit a large crowd into the large country kitchen . . .fully furnished. The large table expands to 11 chairs with more at the bar and plenty or cookware and counter top space. Don't forget the sunset and great views.
After a gorgeous sunset, you can enjoy the local nightlife with a wide array of entertainment or have a quiet evening around the fireplace/wood stove enjoying each others company or watching your favorite dish network channel.
This area is an artist's and photographer's dream. The children especially love the Flintstones Town, the arcade, bowling, Indian dancing and cowboy singing, all approximately five minutes away, and the Deer Farm with so many tame and friendly wild animals, just 30 minutes away.
You'll feel the quaintness and quiet of rustic remoteness, yet be just two minutes off Highway 64, and about 15 minutes from Grand Canyon National Park.
This mountain-view home is conveniently close to all the places you'll want to visit. And convenience stores, gas, and food, restaurants and gift shop facilities are only about 5-10 minutes depending which way you go.
I have had so may great verbal reviews before and since the last 2, which were from the same party. I didn't feel they were fair, and I remind my guests, if you're looking for busy city bustle, it's just not in this region. This is remote, open country, lots of land and trails and back roads to enjoy and explore. Our guests get to see the natural habitat and wildlife all around them, It reminds me of the Australian outback, there will not be pavement everywhere, or sidewalks, or shopping malls, We're actually proud of that. I've been to so many now commercialized tourist areas and it has definitely killed the atmosphere and detracted from the real beauty of area. At this World Wonder I believe we have maintained that original, historical and natural experience. Folks, it's not Los Angeles.
This guest group was from Austrailia and they loved it. Here were their parting remarks.
"Trish, I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know what an amazing time we had in the Grand Canyon. None of us had been to the Park before and I must say that we were completely awe struck by the enormity of the Canyon on a very misty and evocative day, we also spent a very sunny day there and as result saw very different perspectives of the Canyon. We managed to be at the Canyon on both a sunset and sunrise and as a keen photographer I got some fantastic shots as the light changed at dusk and dawn. We also flew over it in a helicopter. We spent a day exploring the local towns visiting both Williams and Flagstaff and experienced very friendly bears up close in Bearizona!
All in all it was a terrific visit made even better by staying in your very comfortable and welcoming home. We thoroughly enjoyed the facilities, space and proximity to the Park.
Thankyou so much for allowing us to stay in the house.

The place is truly located away from everything. Trish the place was amazing. We were able to cook out hotdogs over the fire ring and make smores. The girls loved playing Scrabble with us. While it's true the place isn't the most modern, it is up to date with everything you will need. It had everything we needed for 6 of us to have enough space to spread out. The elk in the front yard in the morning made the girls trip.
This property was nice because it was close to the Grand Canyon and we were able to bring our pets. But some general maintenance and cleaning really needs to be done for the price of renting. Several rooms didn't even have light bulbs that worked. Our bathroom had 0 lights so we couldn't use it after dark. None of the tv remotes worked. None of the clocks worked. Etc. etc. Just small things that could really make a difference if someone were to just go through and replace/repair things. The house was generally clean, but for me personally it could be a lot cleaner. Especially since we paid a cleaning fee. The kitchen floors were sticky. Residue on the counters. Dead flies/bugs around on the floors. Some silverware was dirty. Etc. etc. Again, small things that could easily be done to make someone's stay a little bit more enjoyable. I would look for other lodging options if I were to return. Trish was a pleasure to talk to and was a big help with our trip to the Grand Canyon.
We spent three nights at this "away from it all" home. Everything was well stocked and comfortable; kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms. We enjoyed a campfire and smores every night listening to the nearby elk and coyotes. We were even fortunate enough to see several elk (one huge one!) on our first evening. It was a great place to come back to each evening after spending a full day at the Grand Canyon. The entrance to the south rim is only about 20 minutes away. Be sure to stock up on groceries in Williams or Flagstaff before arriving! You are away from it all up here!
We just left this morning and it was unanimous that we would stay here again. It was 30 minutes door to door to the visitor's center. The house is off the beaten path a little, but I love staying at a house, where we can group in the kitchen and living room, after a long day of hiking. Hot, hot showers, great master with double sinks and you can't beat washing your laundry before returning home.
My sister's family and I stayed here for four nights. The home had plenty of room for all of us (4 adults and 4 children). Comfy beds and lots or room to relax. We loved being able to let the kids wander and explore the property as they played. On our last night we were treated to the spectacular stars that other reviews have mentioned. WOW! We also loved the spacious kitchen/dining area since we prepared and ate most of our meals there. There were plenty of plates, silverware, bath towels, paper towels, toilet paper, soap, etc. No problems with any appliances or water. There were a couple of things that we wished we had for meal prep for a large family (more medium sized mixing/serving bowls, napkins, basic spices, more dish towels, and plastic storage bags), but nothing that made a negative impact on our stay. The owner is super friendly, easy to work with, and contact. This was a great place to stay for our Grand Canyon vacation.
We used the house for a winter family vacation and it served our purpose wonderfully. With 8 adults and 6 children we ended up using every room in the house and we were delighted to find everything we needed. From the perfect about of dishes, pots and pans, to extra towels, pillows and blankets. We would definitely stay here again.
