Not a fit for us

  • 2 of 5

This location was too remote for us. We also did not like sharing the house with the caretaker who was over zealous and obtrusive. Many things about the house were very nice and comfortable. It was well equipped but there were some less clean areas around the master toilet, the rugs, and under the couch cushions.

Beautiful vacation home in a quiet secluded setting.

  • 5 of 5

We loved the house. It was comfortable, clean and quiet in the woods overlooking a wooded ravine. Close to Bat Cave/Chimney Rock area but away from the traffic. The owners are super nice and helpful. Hope we can stay there again someday.

Property was not as advertised.

  • 1 of 5

We were very disappointed in the property. It was not clean when we arrived. There was moldy coffee left in the pot. There were dead bugs everywhere. There was no bathroom door in the loft. That was extremely awkward for my teenage children trying to get ready and use the facilities. We were also not informed before that someone lived downstairs. There was junk all over the porch downstairs. We found this out when it was too late to cancel. House seemed to be in a state of repair. We left early as we were so very disappointed.

Owner's Response: Do not know who entered this review. There was no Ashley P. registered as a guest for these dates. Also, ALL registered guests are notified that downstairs apartment is occupied by caretaker. Sorry, but if I am not notified of any problems, or do not even know who guest is, I cannot take care of any problems. Neither I nor caretaker told of any problems, nor do we know who guest is.

Perfect Asheville getaway cabin!

  • 5 of 5

I booked this adorable cabin for my best friend's Bachelorette weekend, and it accommodated 5 ladies more than adequately. Three of the girls took the twin sized beds in the loft, the bride took the queen bed and I brought a blow up mattress which went beside the queen sized bed perfectly. I enjoyed going out on the front sunroom porch to enjoy the morning air. It's about a 20-25 minute drive to Asheville, and one night my GPS took me a crazy back way through the windiest road I have ever driven on, so beware that this is not for people who are leary of small two-lane roads. However, if you are a fearless driver such as myself and LOVE driving past miles of apple orchards, this is your Huckleberry.

Thank you for the lovely offering!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much, and glad you and the ladies had so much fun. I understand how your GPS took you on another route, and yes, the roads are winding in the mountains. Hope to see you again in our beautiful Western NC Mountains for another vacation. Most sincerely, Chris

Amazing Log Home! Great location!

  • 5 of 5

An awesome get away place yet close enough to Hendersonville & Ashville to enjoy great shopping, dining , entertainment & sightseeing! The house was well equipped & furnished. Many extras provided, such as hand soaps, detergent & even coffee! Our family enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday at Ladybug Hill! The teens loved having a place of their own in the loft ! Only drawback - only one private bedroom for adults. The porch was a nice place for morning coffee & glorious sunshine! There was some foliage remaining and it was still beautiful! Loved being high up on mountainside especially at night when you could see the lights from other houses. Our family made special memories and hope to return. Can highly recommend this lovely log home!
