This is a dream home not to be missed! For excellent skiing, Mount Snow is less than 2 miles away.
Romantic, cozy, charming, one-of-a-kind log house nestled in a very private, wooded, secluded setting on a mountain overlooking Mt. Snow.
In the summer of 2015, we completed a touch-up of the entire outside of the house. Power washing, caulking, staining, rebuilding the side porch and more. It looks beautiful!
2 full bathrooms
Very large front deck and a side porch – both very private and spacious. Front porch has a generous table for outdoor dining. The living room is comfortable and cozy with a gorgeous fireplace and big couch.
Downstairs master bedroom has a queen-sized bed, and boasts an attached bathroom with a soaking tub big enough for two as well as a sauna.
Upstairs has 3 bedrooms, 2 of which are generous in size. The 2 large bedrooms each have 2 twin beds. The third bedroom has a queen-sized bed.
Upstairs bathroom is a full, standard bathroom with shower / tub.

The house is half a mile away from the Mount Snow Golf Course, an 18-hole championship course that was rated one of the top five in the state by Golf Digest. It has also been named one of the top 10 resort courses in the country by SKI Magazine.
Hiking, mountain biking and chairlift rides to the top of the mountain at Mt. Snow. The quaint village of Wilmington is an easy 10 minute drive and full of fun Vermont activities such as a large flea market, antique shops and clothing boutiques. Additionally, find horseback riding, berry picking and walking trails just minutes from the house.
All of this creates an unforgettable experience of being in Vermont.
My family built the house in 1978 and we have been the sole owners. We truly adore this house and you will, too.
Come see what my family and friends have loved for years...take away your own wonderful memories!
The cabin house is a treat and a great fit for 2 families. The fire (and stack of wood) kept us nice and cozy on some cold nights. It's set up on a hill off a quiet road, we had plenty of peace and dark starry nights.
Bert puts a lot of love and care into the home and it shows.
We had a terrific stay and loved the warmth and character of the cabin. The fireplace was amazing. The setting was close to restaurants and the mountain, but still felt like a quiet cabin in the woods. We can't say enough about how helpful Bert was and how great she was to deal with!
We spent Presidents Weekend at Bert's house to do some skiing at Mt.Snow. We had 8 total people, 2 families of 4 and everyone had comfortable sleeping accommodations - 2 Adult Couples each had rooms w/ queen beds, and 2 sets of kids had rooms w/ 2 twin beds each.
Pros: Bert is amazing to deal with, House is charming, has active fireplace, great location close to Mt.Snow, private house location
Cons: A bit rustic, but it is a log cabin after all
We'd highly recommend this place for your next stay. Thanks Bert!
We found the property exactly as advertised - a unique, charming and authentic log cabin very close to Mount Snow and to the main road and shopping, yet also very private. Wonderful for skiing by day and getting cozy by the fire at night! Perfect for families and the owner, Bert, was a pleasure to deal with.
What a perfect weekend!
First and foremost, Bert is wonderful to work with. Absolutely wonderful! She answered my questions before I asked them, gave great recommendations of restaurants and activities, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great weekend. Not only that, but she was super encouraging and supportive of our group as we were visiting to do the Tough Mudder - the perfect cheerleader!
Bert's home is beautiful! It was perfect for our co-ed group of friends, and we all left wanting to bring back our families for vacation! The layout of the main floor was ideal for hanging out and sharing stories, and if it were cooler we definitely would have enjoyed the gorgeous fireplace. The bedrooms were comfortable and well laid out for a group - everyone had plenty of space for the weekend!
I would highly recommend this home as part of your VT travels, whether for a getaway with friends, a family ski vacation, or a cozy, romantic escape. I'm hoping to be back again in the winter!!
What a fantastic trip. Three generations got a chance to escape up to VT for an authentic log cabin relaxing visit. Exactly what we were looking for, plenty of snow on the ground made for great sledding with the little ones. Adults got a chance to cozy up to a roaring fireplace, catch up on some reading and feast on the great dinner we prepared. Great market down the street, River Valley Market, to stock up on gourmet items for your trip. Bert is very gracious and helpful to answer any questions and ensure the stay is a memorable one. Definitely would come back again.
