This spectacular home is perched on a bank overlooking Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. Enjoy the view from the large deck outside or from most rooms inside. The great room/kitchen with hardwood floors, gas fireplace, plentiful windows, granite counter tops, and state-of-the-art appliances enables constant enjoyment of the surrounding beauty. Three self-contained bedroom suites have queen beds, and two have views. An additional bedroom has two twins and a double bed next to a full bath. A large bonus room can provide additional sleeping space. Spend the day watching eagles soar, submarines and occasional sea lions, or walk the beach and harvest clams, mussels, or oysters (license needed). For more action, visit the charming town of Poulsbo, play some golf, visit a casino, hike at Hurricane Ridge, take a ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria BC, or engage in many other activities available in the area. This hideaway is the perfect vantage point for enjoying the Pacific Northwest
I’ve been waiting to get my family to the Puget Sound area for the last 20+ years. I was stationed briefly at NAS Whidbey Island back in the 80s and I fell in love with the area. We picked Sandy’s house as our base of operations and it was a perfect start to our vacation. The only regret was that I did not allow for more time just relaxing at the house!
This is a stunning home with a gorgeous vista. We stayed a full week. The first time we opened the front door and looked through the back of the house to Hood canal and Mt Olympus in the distance was unforgettable. The house is laid out nicely and is tastefully decorated. It’s understated and a bit sparse but matches the house perfectly. The eight of us (2 - 17 year-old, 1 – 13 year-old, 1 – 10 year-old, grandma & grandpa, plus mom & dad) had more than enough room and privacy.
The only issue we had, and it was minor, was that we had to space out the showers, laundry and dish washing because of the septic system. My family had no issues working with that limitation but it’s something to be aware of if you have a large group.
This is a great house and it exceeded my expectations.
Last note: 2nd morning drinking coffee on the back patio, a bald eagle flew into a tree right in front of me. 4th morning, drinking coffee on the back porch, a river otter came bounding across the back yard, not 20 feet from me. Couple that with the porpoises we saw swimming in the canal and it was magnificent.
Our son was married just around the corner at Red Cedar Farm and this was thre perfect place to call home for four days! Beautifully decorated and comfortably accommodated our three children and their families. The view of hood canal and the mountains is incredible and we enjoyed the resident bald eagle's flight every morning and the sunsets at night. Spectacular! We will be returning. Thank you Sandi for graciously sharing your home.
We rented this house for our wedding weekend & it couldn't have been any better :)
Spacious, beautiful, & comfortable. You are getting what you are paying for!
From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The pictures give a perfect sneak peek of what to expect. Everyone loved that they had their own bathroom and it must be noted that four of the five bathrooms have Toto toilet seats each with a bidet and warming feature... A first for many of us!
Our weekend stay was truly charming in the elegant high bank waterfront home.
Thanks, Sandi for making our overall booking experience so easy!
We couldn't have picked a more perfect place to stay for our vacation. We shared this place with extended family and we all thoroughly loved it. The house is incredibly comfortable, with spectacular sweeping views of the Hood Canal, lovely amenities, and ample room for the kids to play. The beach is a short walk away and has a big grassy field, a playground, and a swing over the sand. This place has it all. Absolute perfection.
We have a 16 month-old daughter and decided to take a long weekend getaway with two other families with kids the same age. The fully equipped kitchen had everything we could ever want to make spectacular meals. The rooms are all comfortable and 4 bathrooms were more than enough for the 9 of us. The views are spectacular and the owners were responsive both before and after our stay. The adorable town of Poulsbo is very close and the house provides access to a nearby beach and playground--both perfect short outings for us.
We had wonderful time with this beautiful house, romantic view and freindly neighborhood.
Fully recomended, we want to stay again.
Sandi, thank you so much, you are wonderful person!!
