Awesome place to stay!
Large enough to accommodate 8 adults. Very comfortable and roomy. So much history! Close to Keeneland. Large yard w a awesome inviting porch.
Thank you for such a lovely review! You guys were wonderful and I enjoyed meeting you and your family. So glad you loved the house. You were great as guest and left the house is splendid shape. Come back anytime !
grand old house
lovely old house with a few issues. The beds really need to be king size and the bathroom situation was not ideal. I do understand that in historic homes this can be a problem. The website should state that there is only one ensuite shower, toilet. The twin room above the dining room has very precarious stairs to access, and once again no toilet. Rebecca couldn't have been nicer however.
We are sorry our lovely historic home did not meet your expectations. We thank you for bringing to our attention the details that we will make sure are fully included in our website.
3rd year in a row staying here. It is a great place for large groups.
It worked perfectly for our family gathering. Plenty of room to move around, dine & play games. Lots of options and good location in town.
It was lovely having your family stay with us. So glad you enjoyed the property. Please come back anytime
Perfect for 4 couples visiting the area's bourbon distilleries.
What a beautiful old house. Four couples from Virginia came for a weekend of bourbon touring and tasting. We enjoyed our time together, hanging out in the living room on comfortable sofas, cooking a few meals, eating in the dining room. Thanks for your care of us.
It was so wonderful hosting all four couples. You were the perfect guests! Thank you for such wonderful feedback !
Wonderful, historic home
I had a fantastic stay at this home in November with my equestrian team. There was ample room for everyone and even the youngest riders loved the historic details of the home. We hope to rent the home again in the future!
The Hart-Featherston House is the second oldest home in Central Kentucky, built by Nathaniel Hart in the late 1700s, and is close to everything Lexington has to offer! Whether you are coming to town for one of the numerous equestrian events, or just wanting to escape a busy lifestyle, this short-term rental can provide you with the quiet solace you need! Just a few miles from Keeneland Racetrack, Red Mile Racetrack, and Kentucky Horse Park, this location provides you a central location. The Hart-Featherston House is only minutes from downtown Lexington, which contains several local breweries and a very active nightlife. Rupp Arena is a mere six miles away and if you have not visited the shops and restaurants in the Chevy Chase area, it is a must-see. The Kentucky Bourbon Trail is very accessible, as is the scenic route of winding roads that leads through the large amount of beautiful horse farms all around the area. The old Squire Road has become a widely used hiking/walking/biking trail that begins right next to the driveway. You can enjoy some exercise by walking out the front door! Lexington is only 70 miles from Louisville, 25 miles to Frankfort, 90 miles to Cincinnati, OH, and 130 miles to Knoxville, TN.
